Pros

Good work / life balance. You can take every other Friday off. Office itself is pretty nice. Good people to work with.

Cons

Probably depends on what team you're on. Lots of turnover in the last year is probably the biggest change since the old CEO left.

InfoComm International Response
10y
Ok. Feeling wordy tonight. Maybe this is cabin fever cure of 2016 -- you respond on glass door! It definitely depends on what team you're on. Not just here but in every company in the entire universe. So get on the right team. Uhhhh, but how do we do that? Option 1: fix the team you're on. Take risks. Push for change. Really push for change don't just gripe over the copier machine and stop talking when I walk in. Push for it. Option 2: get on a different team. For crying out loud we have like 10 openings around the world. Are they all the wrong team? If that's the case then we have to help you find a place to contribute your special sauce and if that isn't here than we'll help you find the where that will match. I won't answer your key question here because it is completely dehumanizing and I won't tolerate that as a part of our culture. Just like I won't tell you why I did fire other people. Maybe it's old school but I believe in courtesy and respect. I recognize these digital platforms give everyone a voice and I celebrate that. But I don't think that voice replaces treating people with courtesy and respect. Another question could be why hasn't the coo fired you yet and since I'm the one writing this email the reality is he could,... Is this where a discussion about the value we have in our people should take place? Is this how we help each other get stronger as a team? What have YOU done to make sure that the COO doesn't have to go home and tell his family he got fired today? Have you ever had to do that? Have you ever had to make someone do that? I've done both. And they both sucked. So before we make pithy comments let's be human beings and let's have real conversations like real people and share what's working and not. He hasn't been fired because I believe in him and I believe in what he's got to give. I believe his syle differences matched with actually caring deeply about all of us means we should circle the wagons if necessary to help him get better at what he needs to get better at. And when you're done doing that do it for me. And then the guy or woman next door. And then maybe we will do it for you. And then we've got something to talk to our families about that won't need Adele to get us through thanksgiving dinner. (Should check out the SNL Utube video...easily matches my family gatherings. Dave ...ok...my official rant phase is done Dave

Going downhill

Pros

The work is relevant and challenging. There is never a dull moment.

Cons

Layoffs are often and there is fear in the halls. There is no loyalty to employees ever. Even if you think there is, you could be next on the chopping block. You are not rewarded or recognized for your efforts or your performance. Going the extra mile is expected, not appreciated.
