77% positive business outlook
Pros
Remote flexibility, company covers cost of your travel, friendly colleagues
Cons
Less pay when compared to other companies at similar level
Pros
You get to work with the latest technology, and with some big clients and smart colleagues. You will learn a lot, and be quite fun and exciting
Cons
This place is a double-edged sword for the ambitious, it's not for everyone. There's a lack of emphasis on work life balance, and often see your colleagues working odd hours as the norm. There's also the corporate politics which you don't initially expect, contrary to the solid digital marketing. Can be a surprisingly difficult work environment for an engineer.
Pros
First and foremost is the amazing people who work at InterWorks. I've never seen another company that spent so much time and energy to make sure every hire was an excellent one. The result of all this effort is a group of coworkers that become friends, as well as trusted colleagues. The work philosophy is also refreshing. From when I first started I have felt that my opinion and work was respected. When you are given a project, it is truly yours to lead and build. The only corporate red tape you'll come across will be at the companies we consult with. One final pro I'll highlight is that InterWorks cares about their employees beyond the workplace. There are many company events that include families and management goes above and beyond to make sure that employees and families are taken care of.
Cons
InterWorks is a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment. Clients are always wanting more then you can give and you have to get used to having a task list that doesn't ever reach completion. You quickly learn that you have to manage your own work load or you'll reach burn-out. If you can find that balance, the work is fantastic and fun.
Pros
It’s been almost a year since I’ve joined the company and it was the best year of my life! I can talk for hours how great this company is but just to sum it up in a few words: interesting clients and tasks; knowledgeable and supportive colleagues from whom you learn daily; cutting edge technology which we use with clients and internally. Best clients, best work, best people.
Cons
When you work remotely you don't see awesome colleagues that often.
Pros
Great Culture, Positive Colleagues, Down to Earth CEO
Cons
Still expanding roster in APAC so we have to fill a lot of different shoes. But as we continue to grow, this will no longer be needed!
Pros
Amazing work environment. Work hard, play hard environment. Close knit colleagues, all with a like-minded purpose. Family oriented company with regular activities that everyone can take part in.
Cons
Trying to avoid the corporate mindset often means rapid, reactionary changes to how things work.
Pros
highly skilled, motivated and helpful colleagues. Great management, best tech stack and a strong focus on personal development
Cons
Absolutely nothing in 6 years of working there.
Pros
Best leadership around. Best colleagues around. I truly valued my time at InterWorks. I learned a great deal professionally and picked up great friends along the way.
Cons
Nothing is perfect, but there wasn’t really anything major to complain about. Only real issue I had was the org structure was a little flat so that limited career progression, but I believe much of that has changed.
Pros
- They are very deliberate about staying small and hiring great employees. My colleagues are the best people I have ever worked with. - The company is not revenue driven but rather solutions and people driven. There are no hard quotas or numbers to hit, just do your best work and find the best clients. - Your voice is genuinely heard because the leaders truly care about you as a person. - Very diverse revenue streams so when the economy takes a turn and when COVID hit we were well prepared to weather that storm and actually came out stronger than the previous year.
Cons
- Pay is lower compared with other consultancies. They will typically start you off with a pay cut depending on where you come from. A lot of the company is based out of Oklahoma which has a lower cost of living so that indirectly penalizes people who live on the coasts, even when they adjust for cost of living. - There is no upside or variability in your pay for when you do well (commission, bonus, equity, etc.) but on the other hand there is no quota anyone has to meet. - It used to and continues to be a very flat organization so it can be very confusing sometimes as to who is in charge, who is responsible for doing something, etc.
