Pros

- You will never find a greater concentration of expertise for BI, data science, and data engineering within such a small, lean organization. The people here are incredibly smart and pleasant to work with. - The perfect balance between visionary and responsive: the leaders at IW are good at thinking 5-10 years ahead and proactively taking steps to make sure the practices are not put into vendor / tool traps. - Product focused. Interworks has made strides towards defining clear paths to productize consultant ideas. - Clients are generally good, but any consultant knows you're bound to have a few bad eggs.

Cons

- Merit doesn't go far here. Raises and comp are decided in a vacuum. - The old boys club: The comments around the 'old guard' are somewhat true. IW appears to make decisions democratically until they reach the executive level where it can be trumped for no good reason. - The company is still very Tableau dependent in a world where developer labor can be easily offshored. They hire based on Tableau skills, not based off of comprehensive talent or teachability.
