Pros

+ Great benefits + Fun culture + Strong corporate values

Cons

- Growing pains (growing too fast without systems/structure to back it up) - Org is struggling with hiring in a lot of people (particularly at leadership levels) and not fully preparing them to integrate into the organization, culture or team

Thank you for sharing your insights! As someone who has been with the organization for more than five years, you have definitely witnessed the growth (and growing pains). Many of our systems across IT, finance, HR, and operations have changed to manage this growth, but as you recognize, it's a work in progress with more to go. We are also hiring A LOT which has a positive impact in having new and diverse experiences to add to our team, however, the flip side is that many people are joining at once and having to learn the ropes amongst a changing organization. We're enthusiastic about the growth and also realistic that it creates a changing landscape - for anyone joining the organization, it can be a dynamic, exciting place, but also means being flexible in navigating change. Thank you for highlighting some of your concerns, and we always welcome more discourse around these issues so we can continue to improve and ensure a thriving culture and environment.

Pros

Great work for a great cause. Has great benefits covering a wide range. Vast network in biotech/life sciences can have your work be very visible. You get to work with up and down the chain with various companies from around the world.

Cons

Company doesn't believe in retaining or rewarding good employees at the more entry levels, unless you have completely had to change your role. Company is so top heavy with managers and directors that there is no room for upward mobility. Unlimited PTO is not equitably enforced and is also guarded by secondary approval after a certain amount of days. Company is stuck in a "start-up" mindset to do more with less while trying to scale and maintain a global status in the life sciences incubator space.

Thank you for providing this feedback and sharing your perspective! We aim to encourage both positive and constructive feedback at every level so we can improve in areas we need to and continue to support areas we flourish, and this feedback is helpful for us to learn. As a growing organization, the culture and environment is definitely fast-paced and busy. The downside is managing staffing levels to support the growth, and hiring is a major priority (we've added 12 people to our team of 55 in just eight weeks), but the upside is that there is a lot of opportunity for growth (we recently promoted 8 people) and a ton to learn, as well as great new people joining the team. We are experiencing a pivotal moment where there is a lot of change, which will bring great opportunities and some challenges as well. Thank you again for your useful insights and experience working with us.
