11 Jan 2022 - OPI Spanish Interpreter in Vancouver, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They treat you well, as they should. They let you work in peace. HR lady is very nice and always has us doing activities that I appreciate. Compared to other language companies, this one is one of the best because it is not that big, so it still respects its employees.
Cons
Pay only increases from 80 to 90 cents a year. They offer paid vacation but, since they were bought by the miserable BIG Language Solutions company, they don't let you accumulate vacation time anymore; either way, they give us 4 weeks per year. They never hold meetings with the interpreters, so you don't know what's going on, ever. You don't know what the company is doing, what team you are in and what the other teams are doing, you are, pretty much, anonymous. BIG, the parent company, has the worst reputation among employees, but Language Link is a good company overall, I hope it doesn't get destroyed by the new owners. The health insurance they offer is extremely expensive.

3 May 2022 - Over The Phone InterpreterRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Payments on time and user friendly platform.
Cons
Unflexible schedule, back to back calls so they make you stay on the phone for more than 4 hours at a time before letting you go on break, only 30 minutes to have lunch, not a lot of communication from management unless they want you back on the phone.
- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Good management. Flexible schedule. Potential
Cons
Lack of promotion opportunities New acquisition created some uncertainty
