Pros

Parents are good. The children are nice.

Cons

The company will play you out once you leave the place. They will threaten you if you complain to MOM or ECDA. They don't keep their promises. If you OT and want to claim TO they will tell you when you can take not you give the time. It is to their convenience, not yours. When you want to take the TO they will give you excuses. Working schedule will ALWAYS be given late. And if they give you the schedule late and your hours don't meet the 44 hours in a week they will make you do OT. You will have to pay back the hours for taking mc and leave. Teachers on MC or LEAVE will be called to come back to school. They will reject your MC if you take it for your maternity appts. They will say doctors check-up for baby are normally appts so must deduct leave (NOT under MOM ruling) NO payslip will be given. even if you want your payslip/salary, you need to beg LOL (which is not supposed to because every company HAS to give a payslip along with salary) If you resign Learning Kidz, they will not remove your name from ONE@ECDA no matter how much you tell them, the boss will not entertain you. You will need to remove it yourself and wait 7 days coz they will not even bother to approve it for you. When you resign they will ask you to work ALL Saturdays until your last day. The boss won't even see you for an exit interview. The boss is not professional. If you are the kind who keeps quiet, they will step on your head. If you are the kind that raises concerns, they will mistreat you. There are a lot of hidden clauses and you don't get a copy of the employee's handbook. NO teaching aides or materials are given. You have to source it yourself. The centre is all about many and not about the children ot staff. No training will be given to you unless you are there in the centre for more than 2 or 3 years.

Pros

- Lesson plans provided. - Each class assigned an Ipad to aid teaching. - Lesser paper work compared to other Centres. - Quite relax and freedom to conduct lessons/activities in individual classroom with doors once you accustomed to the routine. - Aircon classrooms. - Can work to gain experiences.

Cons

- Alot of hidden clauses in the contract. - Not truthful during interview. - Only can resign in the month of Nov/Dec, otherwise need to compensate. Bonded every year. - Cannot look for other Centres within 1km after resigning. - Need to work on all Saturdays after resigned. - Need to repay hours even on annual leaves or mc because these leaves only covered you for 8 hours. Remaining hours need to repay. - Management instructions inconsistent. - Need to carefully check the salary, otherwise prone to credit wrongly. - Need to always chase for payslip. - Does not give teachers proper traninings. Still want us to conduct special curriculum such as STEM, cookery, speech-and-drama. - No lunch provided for teachers, need to see if there are any leftover from children's lunch. Otherwise, buy your own lunch. - Do not provide teaching materials and also does not allow teachers to claim for materials. - Required to do large group morning and evening assembly but do not provide microphone, want teachers to shout and scream only. - Unfair assembly allocation (some teachers need to do more than others). - Need to provide spouse's nric in order to apply for childcare leaves. Otherwise will not be approved. - Management does not have care much for the teachers. - Only one teacher can be on leave per day (there are about 25 teachers within the Centre). Have to fight for leaves. - Large children ratio with no additional help. (E.g. 1 teacher to 27 children in K2) - Many politics among teachers. Alot of gossips and small groups among teachers. - Super calculative and micromanage management.

Pros

Near mrt, bus stop and a lot of food places. THAT IS ALL. No pros about this company.

Cons

- nightmare place to work at - it’s all about money, not about children’s development - a lot of hidden clause - up to the boss if she wants to pay you on time or delay, for NO reason. Or worst, give you wrong salary for months - NO payslip given. even if you want your payslip/salary, you need to beg LOL (which is not supposed to because every company HAS to give payslip along with salary) - once you decide to quit, they will make your life there miserable. No joke on this - 1 month 1 AL - 2 months 1 CCL - will deduct your $$ if you decide to quit (take note: not under any employment ACT) - definitely bias - not professional. If you are the kind who keeps quiet, they will step on your head. If you are the kind that raises concerns, they will mistreat you - expected the unexpected because no one knows what will the boss do to you :’) - need to be really smart to be working here else they will make full use of you in terms of working hours, salary etc
