Pros

Since my first day at Lever, I’ve felt genuinely valued. I work with people who are thoughtful, collaborative and encouraging, which makes a huge difference in a remote team. Leadership has consistently supported my growth, offering guidance when I need it and the trust to run with things when I’m ready. I’ve grown more in the last three years than in any role I’ve had before, and this is the longest I’ve ever stayed in one company. A big part of what’s kept me here is Lever’s mission. The work we do for farm animals has become something I feel personally connected to, and it’s naturally shaped the choices I make in my own life—and, more and more, the choices of the people close to me.

Cons

Because so much of my work is on social media, you occasionally run into people who don’t share our values, which can be challenging. And while remote work offers flexibility, it also means we don’t get many chances to meet colleagues in person.

Pros

A respectful and collaborative work culture, supportive team members, and responsive management are among the organization’s key strengths. The organization also provides a high level of trust and flexibility, which greatly supports productivity and work–life balance.

Cons

Most of the team works remotely, so in-person interactions are limited. In addition, the subject matter can be challenging at times, as it is relatively new for many people in Asia, which creates a steeper learning curve in the early stages. However, these challenges are inherent to the nature of the work and are largely unavoidable.

Pros

Working remotely at Lever Foundation for more than three years as a Campaign Manager has been a consistently positive experience, with a supportive international culture, clear management, and transparent communication through weekly updates and quarterly feedback. Tasks are well-defined, expectations are easy to follow, and the organisation does a good job of making you feel included and valued even when the team is spread across different regions.

Cons

Working across multiple time zones and markets can be challenging, and the fully online setup means we don’t get many chances to meet in person. Still, the regular video check-ins and the team’s “we’ll make it work” attitude help bridge that gap and keep everyone aligned with our mission of building a more sustainable food supply chain in Asia and beyond.
