Pros

The company will try to appear as a fair and just place to work when you first start.

Cons

Working at LoadUp became a deeply frustrating experience after they hired an unfit manager who had no clue what she was doing. Her arrival marked the beginning of significant bias and favoritism within the company, which fostered a toxic work environment. Despite my consistent hard work, dedication, and being recognized as a strong team player by my peers, I was treated unfairly and differently by my manager than other employees. The management team failed to fairly evaluate my performance, often ignoring the additional responsibilities I handled and instead focusing on skewed metrics to justify my “poor” reviews. Keep in mind, prior to this individual being hired on, I was recognized for all my efforts and accomplishments company-wide and recently received a promotion. This was compounded by the fact that I was wrongly criticized for "poor attendance" by the director of my department. The only times I missed work were due to illness (which I had and used my sick time for) and when they refused to accommodate my need to work from home, even though I had disclosed that I had no transportation and a disability preventing me from driving long distances. This refusal to accommodate became particularly problematic after the company abruptly changed the onsite office location from one just 5 miles from my home to one almost 30 miles away. When I asked to see my attendance record that was supposedly in question, I was met with a snarky comment rather than the transparency I deserved. My attendance was never shown to me by said director. Additionally, I was threatened with termination by this individual, which I perceived as retaliation for standing up for myself and speaking out against the unfair treatment from my manager. This hostile behavior left me feeling gaslit, as I was told that I was “being treated no differently than other employees,” despite my fellow coworkers acknowledging the blatant unfairness on several occasions. Furthermore, the communication from management was often disrespectful and dismissive of legitimate concerns, leading to unneeded stress and frustration. Continuous micro-management and unnecessary questioning of my ability to work from home and my personal health created an atmosphere of mistrust and severe discomfort. In summary, LoadUp is an employer that lacks professionalism, fairness, and respect for its employees. The company's failure to address discriminatory practices and its unwillingness to accommodate employees with disabilities make it a challenging and demoralizing place to work.

Rug pulls galore

Pros

Management, teammates, and colleagues are some of the kindest, hardworking people you’ll meet. It’s clear everyone is invested in building LoadUp into the exec teams dreams and beyond. There is accountability and support at every turn among these employees.

Cons

Rug pulls galore - never take leaderships word as truth. They will promise one thing and double back in the name of faith and culture. Tools, processes and policies change left and right. Probably due to how many new people have been coming in and out of those roles close to ceo.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We appreciate the kind words about the people here. Our teammates work hard, care about each other, and take ownership, and we are grateful for that. We also want to address the concern about “rug pulls” and trust. As we evolved from fully remote to hybrid and then to more in-office expectations, we worked to communicate our direction clearly and in advance. Our long-term intent to return to more in office was shared, and we believe in the value of in-person collaboration and fellowship as part of our culture. We understand that any shift in work arrangements can be disruptive for certain individuals. In many cases, earlier arrangements were more informal and tied to a specific phase of the company rather than permanent guarantees. When we moved toward in-office expectations, we also made efforts to handle the transition thoughtfully, including offering individual conversations and transition plans where possible. Even with advanced communication and compromise options, we recognize that this change will not work for everyone. Separately, we take the feedback about tools and process changes seriously. As we grow, we will continue refining systems, but we agree that teams need stability, clear priorities, and consistent communication to do their best work. That is something we are actively working to improve. We appreciate what you contributed while you were here and wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

Everyone that you work with is wonderful and incredibly helpful! Management listens and receives feedback extremely well. They're always looking and eager to make changes if it means the company and people will be more successful in their roles.

Cons

Might be an adjustment if you're not used to the "start-up" culture, but nothing super negative
