Great Company!

Pros

Busy from the moment you sit down until the end of the day. You have to think. You have to pay attention. You have to want to work. This isn't a slacker job. If you think you're going to show up and just socialize throughout the day, look elsewhere. You have productivity goals to meet, you have to have people skills and you have to care. You get an hour for lunch, two breaks, and those I worked around were great people. This is a growing company and you have the opportunity to advance quickly. You take care of them, they'll take care of you. The CEO and his wife and great people to work for. They genuinely care about their company and employees.

Cons

The only con I can think of are the benefits. You do get health, dental and vision but it's expensive (at least for a single person) and while the pay is average, I couldn't justify the amount that would come out of my check for it. It is a new company and I think this will change as they grow and more people sign up for the healthcare benefits. That's really the only negative thing I can think of, but again, I believe the benefits will get better as this company grows. It broke my heart to have to leave because I knew I was leaving a great place to work for and those are far and few in between. You have your frustrations (computers crashing, unhappy agents) but this is just part of the job. If you want to work, if you want to use your head, if you want to feel good about going to work, I think you will be successful.

Not great, not terrible

Pros

NO micro-managing. Free bad coffee. Plenty of PTO time and holidays. I think they want to be better than they are, which is a good sign.

Cons

Training is terrible. It is too quick and does not go deep enough. The facility and equipment are not great, but they are moving into a larger building soon, and supposedly will be getting new tables, chairs, and computers. The desks are elbow to elbow. You barely have space for a cup of coffee and you better hope your neighbor has good hygiene. They have pretty low standards for hiring. It’s pretty ghetto and trashy and you may be appalled by some of the things you hear around you. Expect to be making outbound calls in escrow processing all day long. I’d say 90% of the loans you work, you have to call out for. I was not prepared for this. Many of the leads, who are there to help you, hate helping you and don’t even try to hide it. The others are very helpful. Finally, I’d say it’s a very, very weird place and a lot of people quit right out of training for that reason.

Work from home, that's all
