Plentiful of cons. Let’s start:
1. MBA work = Tracking certification, birthday, software installations, etc. My dear company, people who haven’t tasted the grapes always say they are sour, similarly you guys think IIM grads are the best in tracking. Slow caps! You deserve roadies salute!
2. Technical Certifications: MBA grads with majors in finance, marketing, IT and then they join your so called esteem company. The first few days, you tell them about some shorty technical certifications. Maybe, that’s the only way to tell about your rudimentary gold standards, but trust me, we started cursing you guys from Day 1. It’s always Day 1 here as well, because people cry their destiny that brought them to MAQ.
3. Boot lickers: I would especially bring up this topic. I know this is common in any corporate setup to do some buttering, but here, there are folks who treat MBA’s with utter disrespect. I know that having a degree doesn’t make us great, but surely surviving that degree does make us good enough for managerial work, not for the utter inhuman behaviour. Couple of technical managers in Mumbai, even started a school behaviour, calculating your lunch time and time the guys look at mobile phones, boss trust me you guys are good for nothing.
4. Fake image personified: Having multiple clients ? Having multiple projects ? Dam! You just name 1 good project that you have, you have the worst project in any IT industry.
5. Ridiculous Experience: You will be called on Saturday’s with the CEO mailing you along with taunts, that if you don’t come we will fire you. And what do you do on Saturday’s, you come and watch technical ppt taken by interns who just copy paste stuff and at the end you have to complete an assignment! Slow caps MAQ!
6. Mandatory 9 Hours: Mr. CEO, maybe you come from some production line, where there are shifts, but use your brain for gods sake! You can’t accept people 2 min late and you start calling them and scolding them! Another humiliating stuff.
7. Viva Experience: Imagine a fine morning CEO calls all MBA folks, you expect some managerial decisions to be taken, some strategic decisions, some new streams, some marketing or similar decisions. But what does that self obsessed and narcissist CEO asks you? He would ask questions on the technical certifications! Imagine answering a SQL question and if you don’t answer getting scolded by egotist CEO!
