Nice colleagues & unfair layoffs

Pros

The atmosphere was great, colleagues were super friendly

Cons

A lot of tech staff were affected by mass layoffs, meaning that many foreign software developers, whose status in Germany was dependent on MEDWING, now have to quickly fix their visa situation. This was not performance-based, people were just thrown away.

Pros

It was fun at the start, nice colleagues, good idea and concept. The main office is nice.

Cons

They put people with no exeperience in management positions. They don't listen to employees to solve problems. They wanted to be an international company and did the usual "it works in germany, so it should work everywhere". What was the result? They had to close both UK and France.

It was really strong at the beginning

Pros

The Offices and the travel opportunities.

Cons

At the beginning, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall work. But after a couple of years the atmosphere really changed from typical Berlin start up to a lot of unhappy employees, no career opportunities and zero fun at work. Why? Because the tasks are all the same and no matter how much you give, chances of getting promoted are low. Also, I have never experienced a company with such bad internal communication. Sure, the All-Hands are a good idea, but be honest to your employees. No one ever really spoke about the funding rounds, even though this is a really important thing for your employees (i preferably get paid ;) )
