It was pitched to me as a sales or marketing role involving events, but in reality, it was more like door-to-door fundraising — except outdoors. The more people you convince to “donate monthly,” the more commission you earn. No basic salary, no benefits, just commission.
Personally, it felt very suspicious — like the “NGO” part was just being used as a cover to make it sound noble. I felt misled because the job description and briefing made it seem like something totally different.
If you’re a fresh graduate just looking for any experience and don’t mind commission-only street work, maybe it’s worth a try. But if you’re expecting a real office job, please, do your research first. I learned my lesson the hard way.
