Highly Volatile Job Security
8 May 2023 - Senior Software Engineer in PuneRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Actually there are no pros being a part of this company
Cons
McKinley Rice is into a shady business model, they have a product called CareerChat, to fund that project they have doing been service based software development. The clients of McKinley Rice have a clause which states that they can close the project anytime. So all the hiring they do is for these temporary clients. Mckinley Rice hires and fires employees within a span of 6 months, because thats their business model. They keep their cash inflowing so they can develop their Career Chat product, So the Job security in this company is extremely volatile. They lure you with high packages and they fire you within months. Their LinkedIn posts say they are always hiring. If they are always hiring why their company strength is very low, just think about it and make a wise decision

A great place to work indeed
2 May 2023 - Learning and Development Coach in AhmedabadRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have worked in firms that micromanage and squeeze the life out of you. McKinley Rice is not such a firm, I am not saying that because I am in HR. I am saying this because it's been 2 years for me now and I have never seen better supportive leaders, colleagues and systems. With excellent policies in place to help each employee, this is an ideal place for me to work.
Cons
The only con I would say is that this is a developing firm, so they keep improving their systems, so one must be patient for the same. But still, it is far better than most most companies who genuinely care about the employees

Pros
People are nice and friendly.
Cons
There are so many. 1) There is no work ethic to be followed. Anyone can backstab you and can talk to the client unannounced. 2) Not all but a few managers are there just to eat your credit in front of clients and when you try to be conscious they'll butter up the clients to fire you. 3) Hire and fire culture. Probation does not matter. I don't know why they even have that concept. doesn't matter whether you are good or not, fresher or experienced, your profile, your dedication, nothing matters. they can simply just fire you. 4) A very harmful company for all, especially freshers. 5) Very poor management. even most clients they have are also service providers. And the client can simply remove you from the project when it's done and then the company will simply fire you. (they should hire on a contract basis). 6) managers themself are not qualified to even talk to the clients properly technologies and understanding of requirements is another level task. 7) they do not have any bond with their client. God knows how this company is running. people are getting fired. even new joiners are getting fired. and yet they are hiring also. 8) Join this company at your own risk.
