Dental Insurance Xmas party at Fleming’s

Cons

Even before you walk inside - Terrible parking problems. Will take you 15-20 mins just to park on a congested morning. Development in the vicinity has caused a lot of congestion in the area and HR and upper management care very little about the RV and homeless issue happening outside the building, as they have their assigned spots in the employee parking lot and they don’t really care to provide any updates on when you might gain access to a spot. I worked there for nearly a year, and was never assigned an employee spot- and in fact had one instance where my car was broken into. With pleasure, they said "there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you”. The moment you walk inside you are a peon and will always be viewed as such. Complete and total lack of diversity. If you are a minority I’m sorry to say you will never advance here. I think out of 120+ employees there are very few people of African american, Asian, Indian and Hispanic descent, and you can be assured they are not part of upper management. As a minority myself, I found it very hard to get along with co-workers who on a daily basis made bullying sarcastic comments, jokes and invasive insults for me being a minority. If you are a minority, I’m sorry to say you should expect this will be a regular occurrence. HR should be made aware that this is not a dive bar, but in fact, a professional setting that they should be recruiting and hiring people for. In almost 1 year of employment, I never formally shook hands with any one of these “Key People” featured on their Wikipedia page, and the few occasions I held the door open for them or tried to say hello in the kitchen, I was not even acknowledged. Networking here is completely nonexistent. A monthly/quarterly meet and greet from these “Key People” or an after hours social event should be a regular occurrence but it’s not. A true measure of what they think of their employees. People here definitely walk around with the “My band is better than your band” mentality, and that one time I actually did play fantasy football with co-workers, they didn’t even deliver on my prize money for finishing in the top 3! Promise after promise, software bug after software bug, this company fails in every way in providing what they promise you when you are hopeful to begin a lasting working relationship with a company in the industry.
