Pros

Nice enough place to work, good mission. Good work life balance. Although not sure what it’s like now after redundancy news and no annual pay rise this year.

Cons

No clear development pathways or progression. It’s not an organisation that tries to create an inclusive or sociable environment - it isn’t friendly. It can feel like you only work with your team and don’t get a chance to mix with others you don’t work with. Can be cliquey even within teams, it’s very clear to see who worked there pre or post-Covid, you have to play the gam to be ‘in’ with the gang. It’s hard to feel valued by an organisation that can’t even provide tea and coffee in the kitchens, whilst a small gesture it can make all the difference.

Thanks for leaving a review, and thank you for everything you did to champion children and young people with while working at the NSPCC. I noticed your comment regarding pay, and we do have an active pay policy in place which we are pleased to be able to continue to implement even during challenging financial circumstances. Our aim is to move all staff to median pay for their grade according to comparison across the sector. This year, for qualifying staff, we are providing a 5% pay uplift. However, I’m really pleased that work life balance at NSPCC was a positive for you. Regards Jo
