      NHC treats employees poorly and unfairly!

      Pros

      New Hanover County provides a good range of benefits. The monthly fees are low for a lot of the basic services.

      Cons

      There is poor communication between staff and management. The dept. directors are often placed in the positions based on seniority, rather than merit.

      black supervisors discriminate against white workers and when management was shown proof they looked the other way!

      No room for advancement, low pay, and even lower morale.

      Good benefits, paid holidays, overtime is always available due to the high turnover

      Cons

      Mandatory overtime, favoritism, low pay and politics like you wouldn't believe.
