Pros

The idea behind the company, training and growth goals are good. Notice most of the positive reviews here are current employees - asked to leave reviews by the management team. Good place for a young person who wants to learn recruiting.

Cons

No value for experienced senior recruiters or clients. The client / customer is always right does not apply at ORS. This company is all about high margins, entry level, low paid new recruiters who they call bill at a higher rate to client.

Thanks for the feedback. The ORS leadership team is committed to maintaining a respectful, transparent and collaborative environment for all of our employees so we are disappointed to hear about your experience. We take reviews very seriously and consider all feedback, and we’ll continue to find ways to improve, but we want to address a couple of your specific concerns here: First, client satisfaction and relationship management have always been our top priorities, but we refuse to compromise our values of integrity and accountability to maintain those priorities. Second, we agree that ORS is a great place for young professionals that want to grow their careers. We’re extremely proud of our training and development program and the impact it has had on the growth of our team in just 4 years. Our training and focus is not just on our entry level team members as we are currently the home for some of the region’s best senior consultants. Again, thank you for your feedback. Bob Lucci

Thank you for sharing your insights about your experience at ORS. We appreciate your candid feedback and take your concerns seriously. It's important for us to address points raised in your review. First, we understand the significance of a supportive work environment and appreciate your acknowledgment of the flexibility of remote and hybrid work options. Regarding your concerns about benefits and parental leave. We recognize that our current offerings may not have met your expectations. As a small company, we are continually reviewing and reassessing our benefits package to ensure it aligns with the evolving needs of our employees, and your feedback will be considered during this process. We also want to address your concerns about layoffs. Due to significant challenges within the industry's economic landscape over the last 18 months, we, along with our competitors, have had to optimize the size of our team to ensure our long-term sustainability. We truly appreciate our employees, and although we acknowledge the difficulties these events may have generated, our objective remains to safeguard the longevity and well-being of our organization. We appreciate your perspective regarding the promise of bonuses and your perception that some employees were promoted at the expense of others; however, this could not be further from the truth. We are committed to the health of ORS as a complete entity and stand by our honest and open dialogue with employees regarding compensation and career development. We genuinely value the contributions of our employees, past and present, and we understand that your experience may not have been as positive as we would have hoped. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Good atmosphere. Decent compensation. Good experience for young/junior employees through the exposure of working onsite at many clients. Opportunities to get promoted and a raise if you work hard. Management is approachable. Good work life balance.

Cons

Dealing with HR is a nightmare. Junior recruiters are often promoted far too quick, and don't know how to handle their new responsibilities. Employees with 10+ years of experience can often get more money elsewhere. "Sr Recruiters" often have less than 5 years of experience. Little opportunity for growth if you're more senior. Company is not growing as expected. Benefits are not up to industry standard. Very little accountability for mistakes made by employees (managers down to jr recruiters). Management doesn't attempt to retain good employees.
