      Great place to start a career and learn but don't expect anything else

      Pros

      - Great Location to work - Exposure to significantly big pharma companies - Extremely flexible work environment. - The president and CEO is extremely passionate and hard working. You can learn a lot from him. - Great place to start a career. Go for it if you are taking up a junior positions. You will be given a lot of responsibilities.

      Cons

      - Extreme politics. You cannot move upwards if you cannot talk the talk and walk the walk. - The partners are not as competent as the CEO. - You are not valued by the work you do but how you keep the management happy. - There is a very big disconnect between partners and employees - The benefits and salary are not up-to NYC/NJ standards. - Reactive approach rather than a proactive approach - No significant investment in products. Put out fires for the client and you are good.

      Pros

      While all age groups are represented, the company definitely has a younger vibe and energy about it. I think this is important for a nimble company like Polaris. Salary and benefits are good. Internal committees do a nice job with balancing fun activities (sometimes corny) with the work. Work engagements can be challenging but I always have the feeling that I'm in charge of the end result which is to say if you put the effort in, you're rewarded.

      Cons

      Company still needs to do a better job integrating the two legal entities in terms of social interaction which translates to better professional interaction. I honestly think that some groups have no idea what another group does and this is a relatively small company. Maybe at the end of the day though, people just want to hang with people they like. No amount of forced social interaction is going to change that.
