Pros

I joined the company with high hopes for its progressive work culture and emphasis on work-life balance.

Cons

Unfortunately, the new directive requiring employees to be in the office twice a week feels like a step backward. It disregards the changing landscape of remote work and the proven benefits it offers in terms of productivity and employee satisfaction. Moreover, the CEO's statement about it being "easy to find valuable employees" is disheartening. It implies that the company is willing to dismiss the concerns and well-being of its dedicated workforce, suggesting that employee satisfaction is not a priority. This attitude undermines the sense of camaraderie and loyalty that we had towards the company. While the option to leave might be available, it's disappointing to see a lack of consideration for the diverse needs and preferences of the employees who have contributed to the company's success. A more thoughtful approach that balances the company's goals with the well-being of its employees would have been appreciated. In conclusion, this sudden shift in work policy and the dismissive attitude towards employee concerns have left many of us questioning the company's commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. I hope the leadership reconsiders its decision and takes into account the valuable input of its dedicated workforce

Thanks for the post and for sharing your reaction to our updated flex policy providing three days of week for you to choose where you work and requiring folks to be in the office two days a week. As we showed during the CEO Update where this was discussed, the majority of companies, like us, have realized a hybrid approach will be the best of both worlds - the ability for folks to continue to have choice over where they work the majority of days, but also provide the camaraderie of working together and enhanced opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and development that come with in-office work. Given your tenure, you may not have been with us much before the pandemic so may not be valuing the in-office component as much as we do. We believe that once you experience it, you will see the benefits it provides. Your review may leave readers under the impression that we had a full remote policy before this announcement, so it is important to note that we did not. We have consistently reinforced the role that our offices play in maintaining and evolving our culture. We have consistently hired near our offices with very few exceptions (for very hard to fill roles). Finally, in reviewing the entire transcript from the CEO Update, it is important to note that Brett (our CEO) did not say it was “easy to find valuable employees.” Two statements are conflated here. One was when he reinforced that all employees were valuable, and acknowledged that some may unfortunately choose to leave if they are dead set on a fully remote job. The second was when asked “is there any concern that we will miss out on high qualified job candidates due to our updated policy” and he said that no, we are not experiencing any trouble attracting highly qualified talent. I hope you find that once you get through the change of daily routine and are coming in a couple of days a week, you do enjoy the opportunities it affords.

Pros

Cons

Testing profile is not good in this company, need to start all things from scratch, no proper stack, team is operating on all different tech stack which are not much valuable, they have their own created bot for automation & also company is far located in goregoan for which travelling is way difficult if you come by public travel. Too many meetings and no time to eat food sometimes, the meetings gets streched on night after 9,sometimes till 10-11, I would not recommend this company to qa automation engineer as to recommend to learn java , front end automation, rest api , company welcomes in very good maner but company is not so good

We are always looking for ways to innovate and improve, so we appreciate you taking the time to write out your feedback. It is our desire to innovate and continuously improve that led to creating our QA team in Mumbai - to build and evolve our testing capabilities. We looked for candidates that wanted to be a part of creating something new and value added to our business. It is disappointing to hear, therefore, that the content of the work was not appealing to you. At Priceline, we value work/life balance for our employees. It is critical for employees to have time to renew and recharge. Our work hours in Mumbai are communicated during both the interview and the offer process to ensure expectations are clear. Our core hours (11am - 8pm or noon - 9pm Mumbai time) are typical for many local companies with significant operations in the United States. The goal is to allow for some overlap between the two time zones. As with any role, overtime is sometimes required in order to meet business needs. It is certainly our goal to minimize overtime. We have been working remotely since the onset of the pandemic and will continue to do so until it is safe to return to the office. The location of our office is clear at the time of the offer. It is our hope that you have found a company with the hours, location and work content that best suits your needs. Wishing you the best in all of your future endeavors!
