Structural and leadership issues harm productivity and well-being
Pros
When process improvements are suggested, instead of being actioned by the relevant stakeholders, the expectation is turned back on the person who raised it — effectively penalizing problem-solving. This creates a culture where identifying gaps becomes a liability rather than a contribution, and role boundaries are routinely blurred.
Cons
There are a few critical issues I want to flag: 1. No sales process infrastructure — For a Series B company, the lack of any defined sales processes is a gap that is immediately felt and impacts productivity from the start. 2. Management concerns —SDR Manager leadership style has been directive and top-down, without the coaching or clarity the team needs. This has resulted in miscommunication between team members and a disjointed approach to APAC performance, which is currently declining. 3. Lack of support & impact on well-being — The environment has been unsupportive, and the pressure — particularly the immediate push for meetings without proper onboarding or process — has been overwhelming. I want to be transparent that this has affected my mental health, including experiencing a panic attack. I believe these are structural and leadership issues that need to be addressed for the team to perform and for people to thrive.
