No complaints here. Compared to pre-SGO SAGE Electrochromics the current working atmosphere is much improved and the investment and expertise brought in by SGO continues to help us understand and improve our product, processes, and sales.

Sage has seen a high turnover rate recently but has not been backfilling positions, resulting in an increased workload for most employees. The plant does not run very efficiently, so most days are spent “firefighting” major issues. There is a lack of communication between the employees in the office and the employees on the manufacturing floor. Despite being in business for several decades, Sage operates very similarly to a start up. Prospective employees should understand they will likely wear many hats and their day to day tasks may not align with their job descriptions. My largest issue with Sage is HR’s inability to advocate for employees and protect them from inappropriate behavior from management. I worked for a manager who was frequently reported to HR for abusive and inappropriate behavior. By the time I left, all employees who reported to this person had either gone to HR with complaints or left the company. HR had done little of substance to protect employees in this situation.
