Pros

Office space is nice. Laptops and cell phones are provided in most departments. You can get far if the president likes you regardless of qualifications.

Cons

President and VP make poor decisions regarding price structure, hiring, and overall management of employees. Salaries are talked about openly by the President in front of other people and job titles are changed without notice or being posted internally. High performers are overlooked and low performers are provided crutches. Company does not care about success and growth of employees. President and VP lack personal boundaries and are often unprincipled. Long hours are common because staff is mismanaged and not scheduled properly by middle management. Executive team does not believe that employees are capable of doing their job so they are often micromanaged.

ZERO consistency on HR matters and discipline

Pros

They have a good 401 K policy and health insurance but it is not worth the mental stress you have on a daily basis.

Cons

There is ZERO culture in this company!!!! Apparently the higher ups agree that the culture is unsatisfactory because they decided to hire an outside company to investigate and try to make the culture better. At the end of the day, the same people do not get along and nothing in the culture changed except a restructure taking people out of the current roles and hiring others at the suggestion of the outside company who happens to be a psychologist. Men can make degrading and extremely inappropriate comments to women and they are given 90 days paid time off to go fix themselves and given an opportunity to resign. Another employee could not perform their job duties and because they were a "family friend" they kept this person on the payroll and helped them get another job. I have not seen this happen for anyone else in the company. There has been multiple complaints on a "C" level employee with ZERO corrective action taken. Don't get me wrong this employee was always spoken to but was never held accountable and continued the toxic behavior. Employees walk around on egg shells so they don't get verbally berated and when they do the situation gets ignored and they are told to take the attitude of just be nice to this person because they will eventually be gone. Whenever someone writes a negative comment online, instead of trying to fix the culture, they spend more time trying to figure out who the comment came from and having someone counter the claim so they don't look as bad. There are a lot of false promises and the only way you will go far is if the president likes you. There are some good people here but almost every "C" level employee with back stab you to save their *** Titles are just handed out with no meaning just so people sound more professional when talking to clients. They bring people on and do not train them and wonder why they can't do the job. The red carpet gets rolled out for most interviewees and they get to see the entire side of the the business but the people who actually work there do not get the same treatment. They preach that there is an "open door" policy but when you exercise that, you get chastised for doing so and told to go through the proper chain of command. This is truly one of the worst cultures I have ever worked at in my life. A culture of gossip, non transparency, and destuctive behavior.

Pros

travel is a "perk" if you don't mind traveling for work and working 18 hour days.

Cons

POOR MANAGEMENT. The good reviews on here are written by management to improve star ratings. Worst upper management I have ever worked for. YOU ARE ALWAYS WALKING ON EGGSHELLS. People will judge you. People will talk behind your back. Management will only "like" you if they need something from you. Scarritt has been around since the 90s and only have grown to about 40 employees. REALLY high turnovers. Senior management will make you feel like you're worthless.
