Pros

Great place to learn an industry that is growing. If you have a strong PM, you can learn skills that cross over your defined "skill."

Cons

The travel approaches 100%, and does not take into account the travel time. So if you are travelling from CO to NY and you are 12 hours late with a report, three different managers will ask why you are late. Favoritism among members of leadership is noticeable to anyone who is actually in the office. Layoff in April was not handled well - I noticed that the leadership team hid in offices and conference rooms while they have always been out and talking to all staff when things are good.

Pros

None. I would not reccomend anyone to work here

Cons

I worked at SigmaCare for a few years. Over that time I watched the company go from one that was unique and innovative to one that became focused on chasing competitors. This is a classic case of loosing your vision and following your competitors. The company stopped being strategic and became narrow-minded and focused only on what was going to help sales make quota in a quarter. At the same time the culture got progressively worse. The CEO had clear favorites in Senior Leadership and never truly held them accountable. Employees were never empowered with little no room for career advancement or professional development. For a small company, the degree of office politics was frightening. Not to mention that employees were extremely underpaid given their yrs of experience and the work the were doing. By the time i left, there was nothing good about the company anymore.

Pros

Depends on who you work for departments behave like kingdoms, if you're in a power kingdom with a leader who likes you, you might be ok.

Cons

Those kingdoms are constantly at war for power and positioning of their own agenda at the expense of everyone else. Leaders are too immature for the job. "The culture is too polite" is used as an excuse to be rude, condescending, impolite, and a jerk. The culture is dead, it's just a job now. Not a modern software company skills, and technologies haven't advanced beyond the early 2000s. Desire to do and build what customers want, but in the end it's an empty promise: product knows best and just builds what they want and thinks will sell. Good people are leaving.
