A Toxic Nightmare - Avoid at All Costs

Pros

Except for CEO & his IBM colleges others never see any Pro..

Cons

I wish I could give zero stars, because that's exactly what they deserve. From day one, it was evident that the office culture here is beyond toxic. If you value your mental and emotional well-being, stay far away from this place. Management is a complete joke. They talk a big game during the interview process, but once you're on board, they couldn't care less about your growth or happiness. It's all about numbers and profits, even if it means sacrificing employee morale. They play favorites, and if you're not part of their inner circle, good luck getting any recognition or opportunities. The micromanagement is suffocating. I felt like I was constantly being watched and criticized for every little thing. There's zero trust in employees to do their jobs competently. This lack of autonomy is incredibly demoralizing and counterproductive.Office politics are out of control. It's like being back in high school, with cliques and gossip ruling the day. If you're not willing to play the game and engage in the drama, you'll quickly find yourself isolated and excluded.Work-life balance is non-existent. Expect to work long hours, weekends, and even holidays. Management sets unrealistic expectations and then blames you when you inevitably burn out. HR is a complete joke as well. They claim to be there for support, but when you bring up concerns about the toxic culture, they either brush it off or feign ignorance. It's clear that they're more interested in protecting the company's image than actually addressing employee well-being. The turnover rate speaks volumes. In the short time I was there, I witnessed numerous colleagues leave due to the unbearable environment. It's a revolving door of employees who quickly realize that their mental health and happiness are worth more than a paycheck. In summary, avoid this company like the plague. It's not worth sacrificing your well-being for a paycheck. There are plenty of other opportunities out there that offer a healthier and more supportive work environment. Don't fall into the trap of thinking things will get better – they won't. Your sanity is more valuable than any job.

Pros

You don't have option, join at your own risk.

Cons

1. First, they'll give you promotions and prizes. Then, one morning, you'll see that your account has been locked, and HR will call to ask you to turn in your assets. When you ask why, they'll give the standard, uncomplicated response that they don't know. 2. The top management is made up of IBM employees; while they lack the business sense and fundamental IAM domain knowledge to operate the company, they work well together to keep each other's jobs secure. 3. Never believe the CEO when he says there won't be any organisational changes; the next day, the entire organisational structure is modified without conducting sufficient communications. 4. Projects are carried out without the necessary resources, and a 16-year-old experience person must perform entry-level and middle-level work that add to do 14 hour job on a daily basis. No one is available to listen to your concerns. 5. The HR department in Simeio is with no voice; its sole responsibility is to process salaries, run survey and send emails about workplace fun events. If we go to them with a concern, they route it to your managers without understanding the issues.

Pros

Nothing worthy of mentioning or standouts.

Cons

Extremely poor pay. They trap freshers with employment bond with longer period. On top of the pathetic pay, they provide pathetic hike. It's nothing short of abuse of new graduates. It is a miracle if you are able to pay even half of your parents' medical insurance with their annual performance bonus. Low quality technical training for freshers. You could find a 10x better content to learn for free on many platforms. Poor peer quality. Very hardly will you find someone with a strong hold of the product they are working on. Even if you find one, you have to be on their waiting list to get their callsheets to discuss anything. Worst management with extremely greedy mindset. They always say that they aren't perfect and that they are improving at the cost of employees' satisfaction. In reality, no company is ever perfect and there should be a fair compromise between employees and management. There is almost zero innovation happening in terms of tech. This is not a tech company at the core and your learnings are limited to a single domain. No one cares for their quarterly/half yearly meetings since they always try to portray that everything is running fine. They will sweep many critical questions/concerns of employees under the rug in these meetings stating time constraints or straight up ignore it. They will swarm over you when you drop the resignation. Only at that moment, you feel like an employee of this organisation. Freshers stay away from this place. If not, then you will be spending your time with regrets. Don't trust those senior folks' words on this regard. Let them keep their opinions to their experience alone.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us review. We’re disappointed to see that you have not found your time with us satisfactory thus far, and your points have been noted for reference. To address your point regarding employment bonds and salary, the employment bond you’ve mentioned is standard in India and across all ASCEND program fresher contracts. The salary for these fresher roles is influenced by the basic training provided during the program itself, and the post-graduation specialized domain training. In the beginning, domain learning is locked to one so that you can gain an operable amount of proficiency in that resource before being able to learn another. We’re sorry if you’re not satisfied with your current domain learning path, and we encourage you to speak with our Learning and Development team on this issue. We’re sorry that you’ve felt unheard during our biannual and quarterly meetings. Spending time with employees is one a of manager's most important role and time well spent. We encourage our people managers to conduct regular ongoing discussions with employees. Should you wish to speak to another manager within your chain of command, you are free to do so to help answer your questions- that being said, should you feel you are not empowered to reach out, then you many also contact a member of the HR team and to help direct you. Simeio also conducts quarterly Town Halls and you are always welcome and encouraged to submit questions to the team. Also, in response to your claim of abuse, please note that we have an anonymous HR tipline, the number for which you can find in our code of ethics on Sharepoint. If you have witnessed abuse in any form, it is your duty to report it for investigation. Again, thank you for taking the time to write out a review, and while the content is disappointing to see, we are collecting and using it in our plans for future program rollouts. Keep an eye on your inbox, relevant changes are coming! Best, Team Simeio
