Retaliatory Behavior By Management Makes It Impossible To Stay

Pros

CEO (Mr. Politi) is great to work with.

Cons

Retaliatory behavior by management, the president specifically, after they were called out for improper dissemination of personal communications and information to non-HR employees was petty and uncalled for. This led to their attempt (and then quick retraction) to tell me that I could not take prenatal appointments and make up the time afterwards, that I would have to take them as leave without pay. Additionally, after realizing their mistake they then stated that my prenatal appointments were cumbersome to the work schedule. I had only had 1 and turned in paperwork for another later that week and one for the following month. Anyone who knows, and the president does as she has many grandchildren, prenatal appointments only get more frequent. As a pregnant woman I did not feel comfortable working in such an environment.

Pros

I suppose if you get BICSI certifications and move to a better company, this is a great stepping stone. SSEC will hire anyone.

Cons

Pay - other businesses in the same field pay $5+ more an hour starting. Per Diem - not automated, was limited to $85/day for hotels while i was there and $30 a day for food. Salary, not hourly Some senior staff members are not professional My longest days were over 14 hours. They hire anyone. This includes people with no quality control, no self awareness, and people who will fight you for no reason. Job quality is not a focus. When at a site, speed matters over all. Lowest bidder means lowest number of days, and the designated bidders at the company sometimes vastly underestimated workload.

I was extremely disappointed

Pros

I was able to learn and work with some great people. I enjoy traveling In different states, you might like that part of the job. You might have a chance to learn if you are new to the industry

Cons

-They gave me extremely low perdium compared with industry standards. - They started by promising me high hourly rate, then they said they can only give me a salary position based on working a forty hour work week. After that, they forced (pressured) me to work a 70-80 hr work week without giving me any additional compensation or overtime. -Because they payed me a substandard perdium, I spent lots of time in the cheapest(worst) motels in the United States. I.e. Bedbugs, prostitution, dangerous areas. - I went for long periods of time on very little sleep 2-3 hours of sleep. They keep jobs and travel coming at a grueling pace.
