Pros
Executive positions often have a decent salary and bonus structure. They are great in the pre-opening process but are expanding rapidly and spreading themselves thin. They are a very young company. Often they do not see things through when you request support. The president is great and has set forth an excellent standard for the company culture. However it is not enforced or followed by the rest of the corporate office which is who you have to work with.
Cons
The President encourages idea sharing and open mindedness, asking that we as a company remove "this is how we've always done it" from our vocabulary. However consistently I would be told by Sales and Revenue that exact thing, or "we would never", " I've never heard of that" and dismiss you. Then months later one of them will then put that suggestion into practice - and they still treat you with disrespect. You have NO FREEDOM to negotiate with a client. In Sales you basically become a middleman, having to contact someone from the Corp office to get permission to negotiate. It can take a day to a week (again because they are spread so thin opening multiple hotels a year) to get a response and 90% of the time the client has moved on. I had a blast initially working for this company, but there is so much red tape to get through to get your job done. So like I said, "maybe one day" they will be a great company. They have some growing pains at the moment (hence a high turnover rate for GMs AGMs and Sales).
