Micromanagement, shoddy GTM strategy and narcissistic Executives.

We are sorry to hear that you experienced micromanagement in your department. Our ultimate aim is to foster a work environment that is positive and supportive for all our Sprykees, and to that end, we are continuously providing our leaders with training and opportunities for growth through our People Innovation Partnering Team. Based on our internal biweekly pulse surveys, we can find no evidence to support your allegation that our 5-star ratings are fake. Our most recent NPS score surpassed 8, and engagement levels of our Sprykees are sufficiently high to proactively portray Spryker positively. Moreover, Glassdoor has implemented measures to ensure the authenticity of review content, such as allowing users to write only one review per year per company worked at and using unique technology filters and algorithms to detect fraudulent reviews. If any reviews were found to be fake, they would be removed immediately.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO - 100% insurance coverage - Tons of partying (if that's your thing)

Cons

- The North American sales team is messy. There is little to no alignment internally and everyone is pointing fingers at each other. You'll need to constantly watch your back if you decide to join Spryker. - The "herd mentality" leaves you feeling like a cattle cow that could be shot at any moment. This statement they push down your throat has little to do with their culture code: "cheering for each other every single day and working towards one goal, with one drive, one passion, and as one herd." - I was told not to go to HR more than once for situations that were inappropriate. After exchanging notes with other employees, this seemed to be a trend. - Most leaders have strong backgrounds but are arrogant and have no idea how to execute. They change their priorities constantly, which can frustrate people and slow down processes that were just implemented. - There is little to no explanation of how Spryker is making money. They will take lavish vacations, yet close 1-2 deals in 2 years? Make it make sense. It's an uneasy feeling. - As with any start-up, so many lives in Google Docs/Sheets, over here, over there, etc. However, when you need answers you get the runaround and waste so much quality work time on senseless rabbit holes, and then get scolded for not understanding the organizational "process". - Communication is very confusing on all levels, leaving employees feeling insecure. I read a previous review that stuck with me so I'll repeat it: Strategies and tactics that work in Germany almost never work at a startup in the US. Everyone knows this, and it's still beaten into everyone's mind that this is the tried and true way.

We want to provide you with an overview of the steps we have taken to improve the situation at Spryker as a result of your feedback: * We have implemented a process for reporting any concerning cases that is available to all Sprykees through our Inclusive Culture & Belonging Partner. * We redefined our strategic approach to core markets and have hired new leadership roles in the US. Our People Innovation Partnering Team is providing them with support to lead and guide the team toward our objectives. * All Sprykees can contact People & Culture at any time, either directly on Slack, via email, or through our anonymous regular feedback surveys. Lastly, at Spryker, we truly believe that being excited (even) on Mondays, cheering for each other every day, and working toward a single goal, with one drive, one passion, is what defines us as a herd. And we are enabling all of our Sprykees to act accordingly.

Pros

The team seemed incredible and kind.

Cons

A month after a contract was signed to begin a few months later, the company decided to cancel my contract with no actual proof for the reasons they gave. They handled it very unprofessionally and their loophole out of it was to send me a mutual termination agreement which I did not agree to. This cancellation is not legal, but naturally I am the smaller person and after discussing with a lawyer, further litigations would have been futile. The company should have had the foresight for the reason they gave me for the cancellation of my contract. I hope that none of you reading this have to deal with something like this with Spryker. I was truly excited to begin working with my team.
