Pros

The product is very cool and the R&D team is brilliant

Cons

The code base is a mess. Company takes shortcuts to get product out before it is ready and uses clients to QA. Clique-ish culture, promotes and us vs them culture - us being the popular kids the CEO talks to and them being everyone else. Company consistently over promises and under delivers so the CEO makes everyone focus on sales, even engineering. There is a re-org or layoff every 4-6 months. It seems like the sales team is a mess. The re are new BDRs all the time because they leave -- some BDRs hated it so much they left even though they didn't have a job to go to.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience working at Swift, We do think we have a brilliant R&D team and a product that is very cool. That's why 2000+ healthcare organizations have chosen to trust Swift to enable their doctors and nurses to provide the best wound care possible to patients. With the high level of security and availability needed in healthcare, our product does meet some pretty high standards! One of the reasons developers chose to work at Swift is that they are able to ship code within a few weeks of working here. We believe in giving our team the opportunity to make an impact from the start. That sometimes can lead to mistakes, but it's about how we work together as a team of both engineers and customer success to always make it right by our clients. Regarding staffing changes, there are many reasons why people leave or are let-go here at Swift. We are growing fast, and sometimes those who come onboard aren't a fit for our culture or we're not a fit for what they are looking for. We try to identify this as early as possible, and always treat people that are leaving with respect no matter how long they've been here. We hope that our open concept and many social events give employees an opportunity to meet each other and also engage with our CEO so that cliques don't form. We know we can do better, and have recently started to create more cross-departmental projects that allow people on opposite sides of the office to work together and break down silos.

Pros

100% Fully Remote is the only PRO

Cons

Despite several rounds of workforce reductions and voluntary departures, there remain a few exceptionally skilled and dedicated individuals. Sadly, the reductions have been so large that those who have stayed are overwhelmed with the scope of work required with too few peers. Nonetheless, the recently appointed members of the executive team not only lack significant experience in the intricacies of this industry but also exhibit a high level of unprofessionalism, resulting in a significant shift towards a more toxic organizational culture.

We appreciate your feedback. It's important to acknowledge the concerns raised, but it's also worth noting the positive aspects. While there may have been challenges in the past that have led to some very difficult but necessary decisions, it's important to emphasize that the members of the executive team, are highly skilled and experienced leaders who have inherited Swift's challenges. Their capabilities and wealth of experience position them well to lead Swift Medical on a successful path into the future. In any organization, there can be growing pains, especially during times of change. Startups especially. However, with their expertise, the executive team is well-equipped to navigate the intricacies of the industry effectively. Swift Medical's commitment to being fully remote is a pro that supports a flexible work environment, which is especially important in today's world. Remember that organizations can adapt, and constructive feedback like yours can help maintain the positive trajectory set by this capable and experienced leadership team. It's worth keeping an eye on how the company continues to thrive under their guidance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we recognize that not every journey at Swift Medical has been smooth, especially during periods of leadership transition and change, we strongly disagree with your characterization of our current culture. Culture at Swift is not broken; it is being rebuilt, intentionally and from the ground up. We’ve been transparent about this evolution, and our most recent engagement survey reflects that the majority of our team does not share the view you’ve outlined here. Rebuilding trust, clarity, and alignment takes time, but it’s work we are fully committed to. Regarding your comments about the executive team and our investors: Swift Medical is backed by a private equity firm (as well as other investors) that, like us, are committed to driving value and long-term success - for our customers, employees, and the healthcare system as a whole. Suggesting otherwise misrepresents both their involvement and our shared intent. We also want to acknowledge that behind every initiative, post, or decision are real people doing the best they can to make Swift better - for patients, partners, and one another. Personal attacks, particularly against named teams or individuals, are both unprofessional and unnecessarily harmful. Regardless of one's experience, we hope anyone sharing feedback would do so with the same respect they’d want extended to them. We wish you well in your future endeavours and thank you for the time you dedicated to Swift.
