Pros

Some very smart and talented people working for a total bully.

Cons

The owners of the firm talk about empowering candidates to get the best offer, especially women, but they don’t practice what they preach in how they treat their employees. The passive aggressiveness is off the charts. Furthermore, way over hired and didn’t have the sense to watch the shifting market. All they care about is filling their coffers.

- Great income potential for top performers - Some really wonderful colleagues that are down-to-earth and hardworking - Decent benefits, not stellar compared to tech - Some really interesting clients

Cons

- Leadership will subtly criticize you/make you question your abilities as a feedback/performance incentive strategy - Behavioral standards not the same for all staff - Environment can feel like high school/mean girl cliques, coming from the very top down - Poor transparency around company decisions, hiring/firing, layoffs, etc. - Very little clarity around what distinguishes one role/level from another and exactly how to get promoted. Job ladders and competencies rolled out far later than they should have been - Very little cultural and ethnic diversity

My four years at SwingSearch was an incredible experience! The entire team is amazing, and I'm grateful for the leadership from Jennifer, Mandy and Debbie. I wish the entire team the best of luck, no better company to work for in the startup exec search industry!

Cons

Fully remote can be difficult over time, and I know the leadership team is working to set up more in-person get togethers. Getting the team together more frequently will go a long way to continue to build and foster an amazing company culture!
