Pros

Good benefits, met a few great people I consider friends

Cons

Women got measured by different standards than man in my former team. 2 of out the 3 in the sales team got fired in less than 6 months with over 9 yrs seniority (and 3rd one is not doing good either but can't comment). Manager got reported many times and HR and supervisor just turned a blind eye. Man got away with poor sales performance or complaining, while women got intimidated to not speak up and ultimately got fired. Sales goals were given much higher growth than male counterparts The typical "good old boys club" environment

Pros

Benefits overall weren't bad Exposure to many different products and technologies

Cons

First , the recent positive reviews are HR and Senior Leadership posting to try and attract sales talent. Do not fall for it like I did. Tessco is an unmitigated mess. Nobody is making money at Tessco, The new leadership team has devised a comp plan to ensure of this. Do not believe the recent posts. There is a reason all the top sales talent has walked out the door. The new leadership team is borderline incompetent. CEO is never seen accept for a 10 minute rah rah speech at sales rallies, Sr. VP is clueless. A previous poster mentioned this leader stated "it's not the quality of calls , its the quantity". This is 100 percent true, the clueless Sr. Vp said this at the National Sales Meeting this year. They have no idea how to sell complex RF solutions. They want to be a box pusher selling trinkets. The comp plan is easily and readily manipulated by sales leaders. If you do well, they slam you with a ridiculous goal so they do not have to pay you again. Demand for them to show you on paper how you get paid, DO NOT TRUST what they say. The systems are 1980's DOS based, incredibly inefficient and causes all types of errors. Tessco is essentially a call center now. Gone are the days of technical solution sales. Its all about Salesforce micromanagement and KPI's. You will spend hours per week managing your KPI's in Salesforce. No annual sales goals. They do this so they can change your numbers at will and ensure you do not get paid. The leaders are all laden with stock options and are just dishonest about earning potential at Tessco. Do not fall for it like I did. I wasted 16 months being underpaid, frustrated and aggravated by a company that lies, cheats and steals from their sales rep.
