Whole lot of coolaid to go around

Pros

Most colleagues were top notch, some of the most interesting and friendly people I've ever worked with.

Cons

Place was a meat grinder, turnover was insane. People were hesitant to make friends because it was hard to hope anyone would stay long. So much 'we're the best place you've ever worked', 'we're family' sort of talk, but upper management and investors very clearly only cared about getting very very rich, as fast as they could. Not a little rich, and not in 10 years. Very rich, now. Tech stack was a disaster from break neck feature pushing with no attention to detail or tech debt paydown.

Toxic Environment

Pros

Remote work, decent benefits package

Cons

Low pay, jobs constantly getting eliminated without a valid reason and no work/life balance. Frequent restructures make it difficult to feel secure there. In certain departments, leaders have no boundaries and will reach out to you on evenings, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays, with the expectation that you will respond to them immediately. TeamSnap claims to be an inclusive employer, but diverse employees and employees of color are getting fired or leaving at a disturbingly high rate, with many not making it past their first 6 months of employment. The company does not appear to have a business plan or clear direction for the future. All they care about is making as much money as they can, at the expense of their employees. If you are looking for a stable company that cares about your growth and well-being, this is not the company for you.

Think twice about working here

Pros

Overall, the employees are collaborative, supportive, and smart, but with high employee turnover, they don't stay long (1-2 years is common).

Cons

1. High turnover of employees (can't retain talent) 2. Company culture has broken down (no longer win the awards they used to) 3. Ambiguity in roles is high and poor leadership to improve on clarity of roles and company direction. 4. Re-orgs are common, as is 'pivoting' on projects/priorities.
