I worked at Tesco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Can have the job till you are tired of it, your core incompetency is valued more than what your good at.
Want a promotion, all you got to do is do a major screw up by yourself, blame it on sm1 in the UK and then act like your fixing it for the next 5 years, you will be promoted atleast 3 times due to this issue.
Honestly the UK stakeholder do not know their jobs, the bengaluru counter parts just need to act as if the mistake is from UK.
Great celebrations of success when there is hardly any.
If you are a leader who has been asked to leave from your previous company- Tesco is the place for you-They want you for your incompetencies.
The Indian management love the feudilistic way of living, so not difficult to grow once you suck up-to them. Wanna a good hike just present flowers to your bosses spouse on his behalf.Already have pointed out how to grow.
Fantastic place to work to get paid and not do any work.
Love the 80's this is the place for you, they are still back in that time

    Cons

    What can be the con's-really!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the incompetent work.It takes a lot of hard work to fail consistently.

    Cons

Employees talk in native language even while discussing requirements making to difficult for new employee or outsider.
Few managers think they are at God level and if you don't worship them you should not be in tesco (anyways most of these guys left now and I hear this problem is not there much)

    Advice to Management

They already cleaned up mid and senior level management ..Well done

I have been working at Tesco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Free transport and good campus.

    Cons

    So many
    1. TESCO HSC is known for frequent lay offs thus no job security , not a company who takes care of it's employees.
    2. Not a software company. Those working here as software professionals are 5 years behind other companies in skill sets.
3.Majority of managers know nothing about the ABC of software development. They know browsing and one thing that is asking what is the status. Imagine managers being paid just for asking what is the status every morning.Common guys they need to know about
software development. If managers are like this what about others. Most are zero in technical.
    4. Managers here like to be pampered by calling them Sir/madam just like Govt. company. Common guys time has changed.
    5. Avoid joining this company at any cost if you do not want to spoil your career , go join and become obsolete and also ask your colleagues before joining.
6, They de compile java software created by other companies by a decompiler and use in production. Seriously, this is called stooping too low and it is known as pirate. Stop piration .
    7. Once more think 10 times joining this company as layoffs can happen anytime.
    8. This company deserves negative rating.

    Advice to Management

Avoid manipulating accounts just to show how this company is doing well. In newspapers the Tesco fiasco , caught by agencies for manipulating accounts prove costly to employees.

    I worked at Tesco full-time

    Pros

Nothing that I can think of.

    Cons

    1. Almost all the projects are maintenance type projects.
    2. No ethics and no professionalism. Once you leave you will be treated like savages even for getting details of EPF. You will try to contact them they won't respond.
    3. Hell guaranteed as the title says.
    4. The worst company I could think of.
    5. The ratings are highly manipulated by putting wrong good ratings.

    Advice to Management

Nothing, it's a company not worth giving advices.
