Pros

Several advantages, namely: - Strong, layered yet easy-to-use product; - Relatively good salaries; - Fair work/life balance; - Lovely junior staff.

Cons

Unfortunately, the disadvantages heavily outweigh the pros: - Hands-off managers, with very little empathic or human skills. This made it a very unpleasant work environment - at least in the Paris office - with no sense of team or of belonging to a company. Rude/disrespectful attitude and comments by my direct superior. - Virtually no HR. As I was based in the Paris office, and the one-person HR department in Boston was unaware of how our contracts worked, our legal rights, etc. I waited for 4 months before getting my insurance. - Big divide between a lot of more senior staff and younger staff. Doesn't have the advantages of a start-up. - Basically every other person is a VP of their 1 or 2 person department. - Extremely foggy on communication, processes, and hierarchies despite the small size - no standardization of any client practices, disorganized strategies when facing clients, lack of communication and trust. - WFH pre-Covid was technically allowed, but so strongly implicitly discouraged that you could never do it. - Recruitment process was overly lengthy.

Way worse than it ever had to be

Pros

Product is great, and is very feature-focused, though this can distract from some of the missing needs that brands will actually want to buy vs our competition. I've met some really great people during my time here. Some of middle management seems to really do their best.

Cons

I believe there was once a really great time to work at Traackr. The whole vibe of the company has changed with a wave of new leadership hires that are problematic to say the very VERY least. Lots of ick. They not only did not give some great people the chance to succeed, they went even further and did some really hardworking people really really dirty in the end. This applies to both longstanding employees and people just getting started. Things have come from a close-nit team culture to one that is full of suspicion and favoritism. The company really falters on giving simple enablement and resources for people to ramp and get versed in the Traackr ecosystem, but don't even think about mentioning that to them.

Pros

The company has a Good concept and the space they are in.

Cons

There are so many cons. 1. The CEO needs to go as he doesn’t know how to scale this company further. When I was getting hired, I asked him what is the company runway cause I don’t want to get hired for a year and then get laid off. He assured me they never lay people off. They’ll do everything else before hand. 2. The laid their female CRO off and got a “bro” to help scale but of he was more talk then results. 3. Regardless of “good culture” they will lay you off to look good to investors. So if you decide to work here. Take full advantage of the company. This is not you “family”.

I’m sorry about your experience at Traackr. I suspect you’re no longer with us, but if you are, you should consider other professional options to work where you can be the best version of yourself. To clarify for future candidates who may read this review: - My role as CEO is performance-based, similar to any other employee, under a diligent board. - We didn’t conduct “mass layoffs”; we restructured our front office after a failed investment in scaling the team, leading to some role eliminations. If you were affected, I am genuinely sorry. - We aim to foster a collaborative and friendly work environment, which should not be confused with “a family.” Underperformance won’t get you terminated from your family, but it will from Traackr. - I empathize with your feedback on the harshness of the termination process. Unfortunately, the US legal system dictates its abrupt nature. As for severance, we strive for a fair package based on tenure. - Lastly, the “bro” culture comment seems misplaced. Our last two sales leaders (including our current one) are female. Best wishes in your future professional endeavors.
