A company with good ambition but poor execution
27 Mar 2023 - Senior Software Engineer in BangaloreRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
1. Often friendly work environment. 2. Some of the senior engineers are really great, esp in platform services with great technical depth 3. Supportive and encouraging CTO 4. Lunch and dinner included
Cons
1. Senior management sometimes don't know what they really want. Very flaky decisions at times 2. No proper planning, execution goals 3. No Work from home 4. Poor hikes, despite having marvellous quarters 5. Middle managements always is after taking credits of their team, rather than sharing them with the actual "doers" 6. Disruptive and damaging policies creating mistrust among the employees 7. Often the work is not valued as most of the managers are not technically strong

22 Mar 2023 - Business Development Representative in BangaloreRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Direct Managers are open-minded and easy to interact with - healthy competition - Decent Pay
Cons
- Frequent changes - not very strong Leadership team
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
On time salary and nothing else
Cons
1. A culture full of politics 2. Mandated work from office (it’s actually a joke). Few teams follow 5 day working where as few don’t, and when we question why is it only our team that’s working from office all the 5 days, we are asked to mind our own work. 3. Your leaves wouldn’t sanctioned if you don’t meet your quota

Cons
All 5 day work from office Office full of politics They reduce your salary Doubling the work Managers here are of the worst kind

Hire and fire sales culture
26 Dec 2022 - Account Executive in BangaloreRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
1- Growing company, 2- New technology category, 3-if lucky, you could earn decent, not great, money.
Cons
1- It's not a core/must-have product, just a good-to-have product. So, from a sales standpoint, you should be very lucky to sell it, and meet the quota. 2- The HR function is one of the worst I've ever seen, mere puppets in the hands of the leadership, running their agenda. Don't even think of taking your superior's complaint to HR, just gonna backfire. 3- No clear-cut defined success metrics for the sales teams. You could be hired in a new sales motion, and within a few months, they would decide to hand out PIP to you. 4- Don't go on their current Glassdoor rating, most of them have come out of manipulating employees. They coax their current employees on a regular basis to fill out good glassdoor reviews. 5- The product and sales teams lack vision and execution. The sales team has not been able to set up an outbound function for the past 3 odd years. and their product has also been largely the same for the past 3-4 years.
Continue readingThank you for the feedback. As part of our hiring process, we would want all our potential joiners to be aware of what we do and the landscape we operate in and to spend a substantial amount of time bringing that awareness about us and what sets us apart and also what one can expect in the sales process. We do have clearly defined metrics that drives each individual here to achieve and excel in their and organization’s goals. As a rapidly growing organization and being the category leader in the DAP space, we continuously work towards strengthening our internal processes and are always open to experimenting and innovating to be where we are and grow further. Innovation is core to our value and we continue to evolve our offerings to provide the best in class experience to our customers always. We consider our HR team as business partners and enablers who strive to maintain the balance between people priorities and organization goals.

Incredible people, great culture
24 Oct 2022 - Solutions Engineer in BangaloreRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I started at Whatfix as an Intern out of college and was later converted to a Full-Time role. The work is challenging enough to learn new things every single day. The culture is very welcoming and supportive. Pay is highly competitive and on par with the industry. I was lucky to join a great team with a very cool manager. The Solutions Engineer role at Whatfix is a 60:40 mix of Tech and Customer handling. Since there is a constant need for new solutions and documentation, work can occasionally get hectic if you add customer deadlines into the mix. My favorite part of this role was Product feature ownership - working very closely with the product team to plan, release and collect feedback on new features and Improvements was very rewarding.
Cons
Mandated Work From Office The Tech stack is stagnant - HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JS (although some new projects in AI & ML may start soon) The workload can differ based on the PODs/time zones. US (5 PM - 2 AM) and EMEA (1 - 10 PM) shifts can be challenging for WLB
