      One of the worst working experiences you can have

      Pros

      Just about the only pro is there are some genuinely nice people that work there, mostly those on the below management level. And the salary is honestly pretty competitive compared to similar jobs.

      Cons

      With that said, there is not a single place I have ever worked that treated its employees worse. Management expects you to give up your life. Depending on your position, trust me, if you work here you will have no personal life. They consistently expect you to work overtime on demand with no advance notice, as late as midnight sometimes, and still be in at normal time the next morning. They will give you a hard time if you cannot make it to work due to a foot of snow on the ground. Will point fingers and do the blame game and accuse you of costing them money when even the rarest of mistakes are made. They will even try to guilt you out of taking your accrued, well-deserved vacation time. There is a reason why many positions at this company are a constant revolving door, while management sits in their cushy offices and can do whatever they want.

      Much of the negative reviews are true

      Pros

      -Work on projects for well-known, important clients without having to commute to Manhattan -Casual dress most of the time -Young work environment -Plenty of time to surf the Internet

      Cons

      -Plenty of time to surf the Internet. Yes, this is also a con as it means there is a lot of down time waiting for work. Too much time on the Internet is boring. -Overwhelming micromanagement. -Tons of junk mail projects. This is a majority of the work actually. -Having to punch in and out reminds me of when I worked in retail before college.

      Pros

      The creative leadership is ok. And if you live on Long Island and need a job, it beats working at Target. The hours are good. Great snack machine and super ice cold Coke machine. The bathroom located up front, near the VPs has nice, soft toilet paper. Bagel Fridays are my favorite.

      Cons

      Please stop calling yourselves an ad agency or digital design shop. What does "infinite strategy" even mean? We deal in junk mail. It's crap.

In the recent past, several posts were removed as they were found to be false and written with malicious intent by a previous and not current employee. If this post is indeed a current employee with a concern/issue, I invite you to come to my office so that we may discuss and address any concerns you may have in a productive manner. As a current employee, you may know that I have been with Wilen for over 30 years. In my Human Resources role, as well as from the standpoint of having made a career here at Wilen, it is important to me that each and every employee experiences an environment that they feel comfortable working in.
