Pros
The actual details of the job managing the campus student fundraisers was a wonderful opportunity to develop great leadership experience, refine employee hiring, training, performance review, and termination skills, and mentor many rising young leaders.
Cons
The middle-level corporate management was often rude and could benefit from interpersonal skills development. The position's nightly administrative duties, including endless spreadsheets, required working from the office or at home for an additional hour or two after the end of calling, making any social life outside of Saturdays impossible. Not having an in-person team to collaborate with, trade experiences with, or offer/receive support was a big liability and made campus managers feel isolated.
