      Before XOM you weren't just number, family culture.

      Cons

      XOM bought XTO and was never the same, always a number. Had to be in the good boy network to get anywhere.

      This company is backed by one of the best companies Ive ever worked for ExxonMobil

      Cons

      After ExxonMobil's purchase of XTO things went down hill in a hurry. I transferred over to XTO as part of a transition team to role out new processes. after three years of XTO chasing off all other XOM employees they successfully found a way to get rid of me. I dealt with extreme prejudice, favoritism, sexism, fraternization and backward dealings the entire time I worked for this company.

      Pros

      Good pay. Nice people. Work hours are not too bad.

      Cons

      No direction. Not enough project managers. No thought to an enterprise architecture. Most of IT is about 10 years behind most other companies. There is no way to determine your work load because there is no planning. It seems most things happen on a whim. Work is boring. Don't come here if you're a young developer or admin. You're not going to grow your skill set.
