Pros
i have been working here for 8 year as nail tech/esthetician . great pay, flexible hours and great coworkers.
Cons
I don't like the new uniforms
Pros
Good coworkers , manager, leads
Cons
Don't pay right "system error" No breaks
Pros
Your fellow coworkers are usually pretty fun. Money is pretty good considering.
Cons
Management is non-existent/terrible The company is only concerned with making money, not you ZERO room for growth, sure the money is nice, where's the goal to work towards? Customers are terrible, you're in the airport and people assume they will never see you again You will constantly hear how 'you' can improve, but scratch you head as to why management is never around or helping.
Pros
Lots of over time, great coworkers, medical and dental benefits, free massages
Cons
Rude owners, no care for personal issues, if you have a family this place is not for you very high turnover
Pros
It's Atlanta Airport you always see someone famous
Cons
Coworker coming in late, leaving customers without finishing them. Going through security. Dirty Coworkers
Pros
AWESOME manager and assistant manager, full benefits for full time employees, vacation and sick/personal days for full time and part time employees, busy with walk ins - don't need to bring in your own clientele, friendly coworkers, unique airport environment, full service spa.
Cons
Ergonomics (pedicures & manicures done in massage chairs, no manicure tables, portable pedicure tubs), the commute in and out of the airport and security every day with your tools, Essie nail polish.
Pros
I had great coworkers that I will dearly miss . . .
Cons
This is by far the worst company that I have EVER worked for! No pay increases-it doesn't matter how long you've been there Absolutely no growth opportunities! Upper management has no idea what goes on, on the spa level-I had been there two years and finally a CEO came to town with this BS of a benefits presentation. The manager they did have in place basically ran the spa into the ground and a huge amount of our staff quit, which left us working 50+ hours per week!. There is too much turn over on every level of the company. Way too much of, "the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing," and this is why the spa is crumbling! I am anticipating the day that I hear that XpresSpa has been closed! They do not know how to treat their employees and they are horrid at running a company!!! I am honestly praying that the world is soon rid of XresSpa >:-/
Pros
Some nice coworkers, paid time off ,employee discounts at all stores, if lucky you can meet a celebrity
Cons
This is review for year of 2013. Where do I start ? just awful, blood sucking, abusive, micromanaging, back stubbing, manipulative management. The "spa" is a tiny place with small front desk, three loungers, four massage chairs and cabinet with a sink. Everything is cramped, hard to move around without bumping into others. Chicago location is dead, we were working for minimum wage, no health benefits . Since the numbers were so low, upper management decided that everyone must stand at all times trying to bring clients in or at least sell some low quality neck pillows or lotions. Only two 15 min sitting breaks were allowed plus 30 min lunch. What they didn't get was, that terminal 5 where we were located is international, only about 15 flights per day, travelers often didn't speak any english . Performing occasional chair massage was easy, but try to be a nail tech at Expresspa ! Mani and pedi are done in loungers. Thats right there is no mani pedi stations ! so nail techs need to bring water from sink to the lounger in an ugly orange, plastic container and let the client soak, awesome. We were yelled at for not cleaning good enough, folding towels good enough, dusting, mopping floors good enough. Many people left from such abusive environment. Those who didn't have a direct deposit waited for their last check three months, no response from corporate after many phone calls.
Pros
Early Friday’s Free products Nice coworkers
Cons
High turnover Ever changing leader ship No bonuses No job mobility
