Pros

Competitive salary for most, or at least it used to be that way. Hybrid work.

Cons

Yikes.... run away quickly. You have to log your hours every week, and almost always have to work overtime. Leadership operates in a tight knit clique yet none of them have any business acumen at all. Politics are a very clear unfortunate part of the workplace with Fox News on the TV all the time. There are so many immature people in leadership positions that can't get along with one another or their direct reports. Not to mention the several pairs of father/son or family members working together and crazy favoritism. If you're not related to leadership- don't worry! You just have to be young and blonde, and you'll become a fast favorite. Promotion opportunities are a joke and just meant to placate you so you don't leave. You may get a raise or a new title but your responsibilities stay the same. But by that point, you're locked into such a niche tech stack that you can't leave anyway. They have done at least one round of layoffs in 2025, and people were resigning left and right when I left. RUN.

Pros

They lure you in with good pay.

Cons

This company is run by a tight-knit clique that controls everything from decision-making to who stays employed. If you’re not part of the inner circle, expect to be left out of key conversations, excluded from opportunities, and eventually laid off once the project you’re on wraps up, because there’s no steady pipeline of work to sustain long-term employment. There are no real processes in place. Everything is dictated by whatever the “CEO” feels like on any given day. Priorities shift constantly, direction changes without explanation, and accountability is nonexistent. The work environment is toxic and unstable. Morale is low, turnover is high, and even customers have commented on the dysfunction. It’s telling when people outside the organization can see the cracks.

Pros

Growing, innovative, company. Loved being in the office and around everyone.

Cons

Have to track hours for each project. Fairly flat hierarchy.

Thanks for the review. All great points you shared. We agree that Zirous has a one-of-a-kind culture! Unfortunately, tracking hours comes with the nature of consulting and try to make it as streamlined as possible. We do recognize that as we continue to grow our team, the hierarchy will likely need to shift a bit too. Exciting times are up ahead for us and many thanks for being part of the culture! - Team Zirous
