Today we celebrate International Day of Education, a day proclaimed by the United Nations to recognize the role of education in global peace and sustainable development. We believe access to quality education is a core human right, and we celebrate the transformative power it has in providing greater opportunities for at-risk children and youth worldwide. By supporting the educational advancement of our associates, donating resources to charitable causes dedicated to education, and volunteering our time to advance student opportunities, we promote equal access to quality education for all people. As a global community, we must continue to prioritize and invest in inclusive and equitable quality education so that we may achieve gender equality, break cycles of poverty, and create sustainable and resilient societies.

This holiday season, the Denver, Phoenix, and Pittsburgh chapters of Broadridge’s Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) organized a canned food drive to close out the year. Thanks to the overwhelming support of associates, these local chapters were able to have a significant impact in their communities. Together, associates raised more than $4,000, including the Broadridge match, and donated over 1,500 pounds of canned goods to local organizations. Building on these acts of kindness, the groups also hosted a coat drive that resulted in 40 coats and many hats, gloves, and scarves being donated to a local Pittsburgh charity and 30 Angel Tree packages being donated to local children. Many thanks to these teams and their efforts to make a difference in our local communities—their giving spirit is an example for us all!
We’re proud to partner with Virtual Enterprises International to mentor high school seniors from West Side High School in Newark. On their day in the office, the students heard from Iris Blanc, VEI’s founder, about her mission and vision when starting the non-profit 26 years ago and how that has come to life. They also partnered with our team members, including the Career Foundations Program trainees, for guidance on class projects, college, and future careers. We look forward to providing ongoing mentorship to this future generation of young leaders.
