Every year, GE HealthCare proudly welcomes participants from The Health Management Academy’s Fellowship program for a 3-day leadership development summit. Held at the Healthcare Institute, the event brings together rising hospital leaders across functions, to explore tools and frameworks vital to driving change in healthcare. As preparations for this year's summit on November 11th begin, we're taking a moment to reflect on key highlights from last year's event. Attendees were captivated by Football Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler, who shared his inspiring journey of perseverance - overcoming a physical disability to achieve a storied NFL career. In a candid fireside chat, Catherine Estrampes, President & CEO of GE HealthCare USCAN, offered valuable perspectives on leading a global organization, sharing her philosophy to building strong teams and fostering a high-performing culture. Participants also engaged in dynamic, high-impact coaching sessions where they tackled self-imposed barriers and strengthened their ability to lead with greater clarity and empathy. With the next decade of healthcare being shaped right now, GE HealthCare is committed to supporting leaders as they prepare to make decisions that will shape generations to come - and to turn those decisions into meaningful action.
While Men’s Mental Health Week in June brought important conversations to the forefront, at GE HealthCare, we are committed to advancing technologies that support better outcomes for patients across the full spectrum of men’s health, both physical and mental. A crucial aspect of men’s well-being is proactive health management, especially in areas like prostate care. Technology and innovation are at the forefront of GE HealthCare, and with innovations like our bk Portfolio of Active Imaging systems, these tools help us provide visualizations for prostate exams and biopsies, driving more accurate diagnoses, guiding interventions, and ultimately elevating patient care. Our goal is to empower healthcare professionals with the tools they need to make timely, informed decisions, because early and precise diagnoses can make a meaningful difference in men’s lives. At GE HealthCare, we’re determined to help improve patient outcomes through thoughtful and innovative solutions. 🔗 Read more about how we’re leading the way in prostate cancer care through advanced imaging technology on our website.
For National Cancer Survivor Day in June, we wanted to honour the superhero strength and resilience of survivors - like our colleague, Jen Stroud. Jen’s #DontSkip story stresses the profound - and life-saving - impact of early detection and strength found in supportive communities. From screening and diagnosis to treatment, Jen’s journey reveals how early detection and proactiveness leads to peace of mind and better health outcomes. At GE HealthCare, we are committed to helping create a world where healthcare has no limits. Jen's story reinforces our mission to provide healthcare professionals with the tools they need to connect the dots faster for patients like her. 🔗 Learn more about Jen's inspiring story on our website.
This Research Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating the pursuit of knowledge and the innovation it fuels. At GE HealthCare, research drives our progress, particularly as we integrate AI into patient care. With our technologies supporting over 1 billion patients a year, we understand the importance of integrating AI safely and responsibly. That’s why we’ve developed our Responsible AI Principles guide - designed to uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability, and accountability when using AI in patient care. These principles guide innovations like our Real-Time Ejection Fraction system, which uses ultrasound to perform critical heart assessments, enhancing safety and enabling faster, more accurate diagnoses. By grounding our innovation in responsible research, we’re empowering healthcare professionals with AI tools to help them connect the dots faster and deliver the highest standard of care. 🔗 Learn more about our Responsible AI principles and their impact on our website.

This International Nurses Day, we honor the extraordinary dedication of nurses around the world. At GE HealthCare, we see their courage, compassion, and resilience woven into every patient's journey. To capture just how deeply profound the nursing experience is, artist Tom Okamura created “Canvases of Care” - a series of portraits painted with thousands of brushstrokes. Each stroke represents an hour of tireless service, intentionally left unfinished to symbolize the continuous and ever-evolving commitment of nurses. With nearly five million nurses in the United States and 27 million globally, their impact extends far beyond the visible. At GE HealthCare, we are proud to support these healthcare heroes every day - witnessing their technical expertise in operating advanced medical technologies, their moments of empathy, and unwavering commitment to improving lives. 🔗 Learn more about the Canvases of Care on our website.
Earlier this year, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Annual Convention, one of the largest career and networking events for Black engineers. With 18,000+ attendees, the convention was a powerful space to connect with top talent in engineering, science, and technology from across the U.S. We hosted 50 coffee chats, conducted 7 interviews, and extended 10 job offers to truly exceptional individuals. We also invited attendees to a networking event with current GE HealthCare colleagues, who shared their engineering journeys, personal ties to NSBE, and thriving careers with us. Seeing these meaningful connections take shape reinforced the inclusive and supportive culture we’re proud to foster. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their stories and aspirations for the future. Another year of connecting with talented engineers at NSBE has reaffirmed our broader mission: to advance healthcare technology while investing in the next generation of innovators. Here’s to all of you who inspire the future! 🔗 Learn more about our career opportunities on our website.
This World Health Day, we’re celebrating those making a meaningful impact on healthcare and contributing to a better world. At GE HealthCare, we’re committed to driving change. As part of that mission, the GE HealthCare Foundation, an independent charitable organisation, recently marked its first anniversary. Building on our legacy in maternal and infant healthcare, the Foundation is focused on expanding access to care for mothers and babies around the world. With 80% of pregnancy-related deaths in the U.S. preventable, we’re funding nonprofits to advance research, training, and community-led solutions. By addressing maternal healthcare inequities, we aim to reduce maternal mortality and improve outcomes for families. So far, we’ve trained over 2,620 healthcare professionals across 70 healthcare facilities in 5 countries and reached over 4 million people with vital maternal health information. The GE HealthCare Foundation envisions a world where healthcare has no limits, and we’re committed to making that vision a reality. 🔗 Learn more about the GE HealthCare Foundation on our website.
