For this year, our panel discussion was graced by some very established & experienced role models who represented diverse perspectives from Hospitality, Medical, PSU & Engineering sectors. Ms. Sonale Zagade, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Gurgaon, Ms. Smita Mishra, Founder & CEO, Fandoro Technologies, Ms. Shalini Gangele, Deputy Head - MSDWD, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organisation and Dr Rekha Thakur, MBBS, MS - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Sr. Consultant- Motherhood India Hospital, constituted the power packed panel. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Anu Sharma, Director – Engineering, Hughes Systique. HSCians supported the discussion by coming in large numbers to attend the discussion in-person and virtually from Noida & Bengaluru locations. The panel members were welcomed by Mr. Vinod Sood, Managing Director, Hughes Systique, post which the panelists inspired the audience by sharing their motivating journeys and the experiences from that. Mr. Tarun Singhal, SVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, then thanked the panelists for their valuable insights and gave the concluding remarks. Mr. Deepak Dahuja, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique Corporation, was invited to share his insights at nasscom ER&D’s 8th Edition of Immersive Series webinar. He was joined by industry experts from Applied Materials India, L&T Technology Services and Tata Consultancy Services. The discussion was centered on the strategies employed by the industry leaders from these respective organisations to advance industry standards. It also shed light on the success drivers fuelling their organizational excellence, offering valuable learnings into their respective journeys. Mr. Dahuja initiated the discussion by giving a brief introduction into HSC’s journey towards being the Best in Class ER&D Organization, and how HSC’s continuous focus on Innovation and R&D has helped it to grow into multiple domains like Telecom, Wireless (5G/6G), IoT/Devices and now into AI. He also outlined how Hughes Systique’s R&D initiatives have helped bring more value to its customers from time to time. Mr. Dahuja shared a case study involving a Cruise Line client to emphasize on the importance of HSC’s R&D initiatives and mentioned, “Where we started from Network operations but over the time we grew in other areas like OTT, IoT and Cloud with them. Currently we are focusing on AI initiatives to manage costs and enhance customer service, such as improving ticket support and ecommerce”.

Continuing on the path of Innovation and Knowledge, we celebrated the ingenious ideas of our engineers with Tech Day 2024. From showcasing path breaking solutions to displaying tech of the future, engineering teams across Hughes Systique Corporation participated in the day-long event explaining their demos to their colleagues from different teams. With participation of more than 35 teams this year, it was indeed an encouraging sign of the exciting times ahead.
Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique, has been invited to be on the Advisory Board for Creating & Developing Entrepreneurship (ABCDE) of the Jammu & Kashmir Higher Education Council. The J&K Government has launched a major initiative to bring about reforms in the realm of higher education primarily through the implementation of National Education Policy 2020. He attended the 1st meeting of the Advisory Board at Raj Bhawan in Jammu which was chaired by the honorable Lt. Governor of J&K, Mr. Manoj Sinha. The Lt. Governor exhorted the Higher Education Institutions of J&K to reinvent classroom learning, reorient curriculum to focus on entrepreneurship in education to develop critical thinking, problem solving skills and promote hands-on projects in collaborations with industry. One of the major features of this endeavor is the fostering of entrepreneurship as a formal part of the curriculum and engendering entrepreneurship in keeping with the spirit of NEP. The advisory board consists of Vice Chancellors of Universities in J&K, senior officers of the J&K government, renowned academicians and experts from the industry and is led by Prof Dinesh Singh, ex-VC of Delhi University & Vice Chairman of J&K HEC. The participants deliberated on how to ensure that the world of startups and its attendant culture is embodied in its true practical form by faculty and students. Looking forward to contributing in this critical initiative of the J&K Government.
