Hughes Systique Corporation’s Annual Planning and Sales Meet (APSM) provides Team HSC with an opportunity to come together, share the successes of the past year and strategise for the year ahead. January 23 & 24, 2024, at Ramada by Wyndham, Gurgaon Central, were filled with lots of information and learnings. Post that, it was time to unwind and celebrate for HSCians from The Westin in Gurugram to Radisson Blu in Bengaluru, at the much awaited, HSConverge 2024. The annual celebration which also marks the convergence of ideas, synergies and the celebratory spirit. Exactly what makes this event even more special. Be it cheering for their colleagues while they rock the stage with their dance & singing performances or keeping their fingers crossed & waiting with bated breath to win the coveted Team of the Year award, each and every HSCian had a memorable evening. Post the awards, it was time to reunite with some of the old friends stationed in the US, UK or the Middle East and lighting up the dance floor. For those who liked the quiet, caught up with their fellows and enjoyed the delightful dinner spread. Celebrating a year of innovation, development and excellence, we come back even stronger to raising a toast to even more accomplishments.
Hughes Systique Corporation has been conferred with the prestigious nasscom Spotlight Award for the year 2023-24. Contesting against more than 1500 companies across the nation, HSC has been recognised as a “Best in class ER&D Organization”, in the category of 501- 1000 employees. This award is in recognition of HSC’s high-tech research & development and product engineering work and is a testament of the hard work and exceptional talent of our Engineering and CoE teams. Mr. Anurag Gupta, AVP & Centre Head - Bengaluru, collected the award on behalf of the team.

Starting the year on an encouraging note, Mr. Hemanta Chandra Bhatt, AVP – Quality, and Mr. Amit Thakur, Manager – Quality, Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC), co-authored a case study titled, “Hughes Systique Continues to Build Capability and Drive Performance with CMMI”, which got published on the official website of ISACA-CMMI, a globally recognized platform for business performance improvement solutions. The case study showcases the maturity of the systems and practices at Hughes Systique to a global audience. The case study presents the experience of using CMMI performance solution at HSC along with the benefits that were realised. It illustrates how improvement in various parameter like CSAT, PRDD (Post Release Defect Density), MTTR (Mean time to resolve), % Rework effort and DQI (Data Quality Index), eventually resulted in improvement of overall organisation capability.
Christmas is always a merry occasion at Hughes Systique Corporation. Be it the delectable Plum Cake or the joyful “office” Santa spreading the cheer, the festivities get better with the exciting line up of activities planned by the Celebritee team. This year was no different and by finding the hidden items in a jiffy, Aakarshak Arora won the tag of HSC’s Sherlock Holmes (for 2023!) and also the online activity. The following day HSCians took over the role of Santa and participated in virtual and offline Secret Santa activities. Taking a brief pause from the games and gifts, HSCians relished the flavorsome and inviting Plum Cakes, baked & served by the in-house team. Post the feasting it was time for hunting for the participants of the Treasure Hunt contest. Arijita Malvi, Grandhi Manohar, Harsh Singh Gahlot and Prabhat Dhakar joined forces to become the first team to hunt out all the clues and win the Treasure Hunt. With the New Year almost in sight, the celebrations, wins and memories will be replicated in the coming year but with a renewed spirit!
Finishing the year on a high! Starting out strong and finishing even stronger, the good Samaritans of Hughes Systique Corporation celebrated the final fortnight of the year by sharing their gifts with the community. With our inspiring NGO partners, Give Me Trees Trust and NIIT Foundation, we have been able to play our part for a sustainable environment, a skilled community and resulting in a better future!
Mr. Tarun Singhal, SVP – Engineering, and Mr. Deepak Dahuja, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique Corporation (HSC), were invited by nasscom to join and participate in a round table discussion on the topic of “Role of Emerging Tech across Industry Verticals”. The discussion took place at AT&T Business’s Gurugram office with Mr. Leon Chang, Head – Global Business, AT&T Business, moderating the event which was attended by industry leaders from across sectors. The main objective of the discussion was to find out where emerging technologies like Gen AI, 5G and AI Ops are headed. Mr. Dahuja talked about AI/Gen AI, and shared that, “given the challenges of AI bias and explainability, industry is likely to follow “Human in the loop” approach for near future”. Explaining in detail, Mr. Singhal said that “Early adoption of Gen AI may be in backend Admin and operations for businesses”. At the discussion, various use cases of private 5G were also discussed and Mr. Singhal and Mr. Dahuja endorsed the general consensus that the benefit of 5G for individual users may be limited at this point. Mr. Singhal also highlighted HSC’s role in satellite technology development for one of the leading providers of broadband satellite Internet services in low Earth orbit and shared his experience from the project before concluding the session.
Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique Corporation and Chariman, CII Regional Committee (NR) on Digital Transformation, was invited to deliver the welcome & opening remarks at Confederation of Indian Industry’s Big Data & Analytics Conclave. He was joined by Mr. Sushant Jain, Director – Engineering, Hughes Systique, as he participated in a panel discussion about, “The Future of Big Data & Analytics: Trends and Predictions for Tomorrow’s Insights”. The conclave was held at The Leela Palace, New Delhi with participation from organisations like Microsoft India, Infosys, IBM India, India Glycols Ltd., SAP India and Government of India’s NIXI-CSC Data Services Ltd. among others.
