Mr. Vinod Kumar Kukreti, AVP Engineering, Hughes Systique, was invited to be a part of NASSCOM's ER&D Curate-a-Thon, which was organised by NASSCOM Engineering R&D Council and participants from different fields of Engineering were invited as Subject Matter Experts (SME). Vinod participated as an #SME for Security Domain. Vinod curated the content for topics like Data & hardware security and intrusion detection system. The event presented him with a chance to interact with other SMEs, from different prestigious organisations. During the process, they were able to exchange ideas, have domain specific discussions and review the processes. This exercise also strengthened to establish HSC’s position as a distinguished organisation in the fields of security and R&D. Sharing his experience Vinod said that, “It was a fantastic experience to participate in the Curate-a-thon, which saw confluence of some brilliant tech minds from the industry to develop content, all driven by their passion for knowledge sharing." He appreciated Nasscom for a very well managed Curate-a-thon.

At the 21st Annual International Software Testing Conference (STC) by QAI, Mr. Arun Kumar, Engineering Manager, Hughes Systique, was declared the winner of the Opkey Quiz contest which ran for two days from 9th December to 10th December. Correctly answering a total of 8 questions (4 on each day during the conference), related to #Testing & #DevOps field which were posted on social media platforms of LinkedIn and Twitter, for the two days of the conference. The answers were to be posted publicly with STC2021 and Opkeycontest on the social media platforms for them to be judged. As a part of continuously encouraging innovative & creative engineering thinking amongst HSCians, engineers at HSC are motivated to write whitepapers on topics that interest them. Representing HSC at #STC2021 conference, Arun submitted his whitepaper on best practices under Continuous Testing category. His paper was selected amongst Top 75 and is going to be published in the coming weeks in the category of best practices.

Mentoring has always been an integral part of HSC’s culture and Mr. Vinod Sood, Managing Director, Hughes Systique, has been at the forefront of it. Last week, Mr. Vinod Sood was invited to deliver the Welcome and Opening remarks at the India – Australia Startup Scale-up Strategies, as part of ICONN – corporate startup platform, a CII initiative. Inspiring and encouraging world’s third largest startup ecosystems, that is India, Mr. Sood also addressed a session for early-age startups from Bhutan on International Market Expansion as part of the IGNITE program organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Startup India & TiE Delhi-NCR. In his addresses, at the 2 sessions, Mr Sood. highlighted how the startups depict a healthy economy and emphasised on the need to develop a framework and discussed the drivers for international expansion. He said that the early-age startups needed to start going global and maximize their markets.
Mr. Anurag Gupta, Asst Vice President, Hughes Systique attended the World Cloud Data & Mobile Summit on 25th November 2021. The conference was about Digital Transformation and cloud computing adoption. Experts from different fields spoke about the future landscape of technologies like Edge Computing, Cloud Computing, Data Centre, Security requirements for cloud deployment, DevOps & SecOps, cloud architecture for Large Application and IoT applications etc. Mr. Gupta’s presented his insights on how 5G and its architecture will collaborate with cloud computing and Edge computing to enable innovation, which will then create an ecosystem for development of use cases which were not thought of about earlier. In conclusion to his presentation, he highlighted that, “As 5G becomes more generally deployed, we'll see a massive increase in bandwidth consumption and the emergence of use cases we can barely even start to imagine today. Edge computing & data centers close to user/devices will play a central role in enabling these future use cases while keeping the access economics in check".
Hughes Systique has consistently contributed to Intel® Edge Computing solutions over the last few years and HSC’s D-SCOPE is the latest contribution in that direction. Published as a commercial application on Intel Network Builders Marketplace, D-SCOPE (short for Distributed Service Chaining and Orchestration Platform for the Edge) is an application that provides network service orchestration for deploying computation and bandwidth-intensive multi-tier applications, end to end, from the edge cloud to back-end high-performance data centers. It is likely to find meaningful usage in scenarios where Crowd Analysis, Traffic Analysis, or Facial Recognition and Analysis is involved. Speaking on this development, Ajay Gupta, SVP, Global Business Development at Hughes Systique said, "We are proud of our association with Intel Corporation and will continue our endeavors to build bleeding-edge 5G solutions powered by edge computing that will strengthen enterprise applications, deliver rich customer experiences and drive business growth in a connected world”.
Together in spirit! While the festivities at the office were virtualized, for the second year in row because of the pandemic, it did not dampen the vigor to celebrate one of the most awaited festivals of the year, the HSC Way. Team Celebritee painstakingly, dished out an exciting ensemble of some amusing contests & games. The annual celebratory ritual commenced with the Diwali Online Quiz which was followed by very intense games of Online Tamboola. For the second day of virtual celebrations there were other activities planned which saw the extended family of HSC also into action. With that, we marked the end of Diwali 2021’s celebrations and to those who missed out on winning this time hopefully can come back next year and win the games in offline celebrations!
