New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM) invited Mr Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique, to lead the panel discussion on “Attributes Needed to Succeed in Changing Times” on 9th January 21. In his address, Mr. Sood spoke about how technology disruption is impacting the world & in turn our lives & careers and what is it that we need to do to manage this change successfully. He emphasized on the role of innovative thinking, leveraging technology as a core source of ideation for the business & not just an enabler. He also highlighted how important it is for the companies to simplify their structures & processes and to inculcate & nurture an entrepreneurial culture. Mr Sood encouraged the students to focus on their individual growth by adapting with time and being agile, being flexible and willing to change, taking calculated risks, trying out various alternatives, taking different courses and exploring what they are passionate about & good at. Insightful thoughts were shared by other esteemed panel members also.

Fresher hiring is vital at Hughes Systique for it infuses young blood into our existing formidable talent pool. Like each year, with the mission to get budding professionals onboard, “Campus 2020” was conducted in 12 different campuses for this year. More than 2000 applicants were screened in the process, out of which offers were rolled out to 40 candidates by Oct 2019. Just like all other organizations, we too were hit by an unannounced daunting situation owing to the pandemic and the subsequently imposed lockdown. But we are proud to share that just as the safety & job security of our employees was one of our prime concerns, we were certain that we, at HSC, shall not roll back any of the offers extended to campus hires. Given the constraints of the situation, the onboarding process for the fresh hires was conducted virtually to ensure the safety of our new hires. This was followed by our induction session, Onset Program. This program includes both, Technical and Non-technical sessions
This year too, Christmas brought in the same swarm of gaiety festivities synonymous with the Christmas Celebrations at HSC when HSC premises used to be filled with HSCians enjoying themselves to the hilt. However, sparkle of virtuality gave it a different dimension of merriment in 2020

This yearâs Diwali celebrations were so unique that they would be remembered & sighted in coming times by one and all. Hopefully, they will serve as a constant reminder for us humans to never take anything for granted.
