Last week the Happy & Healthy Committee (H2C) hosted a virtual gardening event. Employees learned about different gardening methods, as well as tips on starting up their own garden or enhancing their existing garden. The H2C team covered topics such as regional hardiness zones, planting from seeds, care and maintenance of plants (vegetables and flowers), natural and chemical pesticides, composting, and how to set up a garden in a smaller space. The attendance and feedback from the event was outstanding, with employees commenting they were excited to have a new hobby!
Our SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) Reporting team was instrumental in a three-year implementation project of the company adopting the new #accounting standard for #Financial Instruments - Credit Losses (“CECL”). The CECL standard is the most far-reaching accounting standard implemented in the Company’s history as it changed the way we account for our investment in receivable portfolios. Our team created project plans, managed various workstreams, coordinated discussion with accounting standard setters, and established accounting policy and related SEC disclosures. Great job team!
In India, the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic spread faster than ever imagined. This often meant that critical supplies like medicines, oxygen cylinders and hospital beds were in short supply. This is when our COVID-19 Employee Assistance Center, powered by our colleagues from the Security, Facilities and Transport team, sprang into action. They home-delivered supplies that employees, and their families, needed to cope with the disease. This sometimes even meant waiting in long lines for oxygen refills and critical care medication when other colleagues were unable to do it themselves due to being quarantined or in isolation. These Heroes invested in the wellbeing of their colleagues and went the distance to aid their recovery.

Today we would like to recognize our dedicated Payroll team! This team recently implemented our Workday Payroll system, which is a huge improvement to the speed and accuracy for payroll processing than our previous system. They worked full-time on the project while still doing their day jobs of making sure that the payroll went out on time each week. Wonderful job team!
