Meet Stephanie Mulloy! Stephanie has been a NICEr since 2009 when she began as an entry-level Client Services Representative. Since then, she has grabbed opportunities in Professional Services, Tech Support and Operations, but her biggest role change came in 2017 when she took up the role of Program Manager in an R&D unit – a whole new world for her! Instead of dealing directly with customers, she started interacting with internal teams such as services/support and R&D, to facilitate customer engagement. Earlier this year, Stephanie was promoted to Engineering Manager. She said, “I’ve been a NICEr for 13 years now so very little surprises me, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I love working in R&D! I always thought of this domain as a place for developers only, but I truly feel like I have found my place here in a support role. I really wanted to explore this new domain as I love trying new things and challenging the status quo”. Keep it up, Stephanie!
Customer Service Appreciation Week 2022 – our week-long celebrations for our customer-facing NICErs – was EXTRAORDINARY! NICErs from all around the world enjoyed competitions, celebrations and more, both in person and online! From tug-of-war and a Bollywood-themed fashion show in India, delicious yummies and photoshoots in London, a virtual escape room and prizes in APAC, cocktails and shuffleboard in Chicago, bowling and golf in Hoboken, and the list goes on. This was definitely a week to remember! To all our customer-facing NICErs: Thank you for being the smile! We don’t know what we would do without your incredible work!
A whole new squad of Code:Coda super girls! A whopping 132 of them! Did you know that women comprise less than 28% of the workforce in high tech fields? And that only 19% of computer science students are women? We are dedicated to changing this gender imbalance and empowering girls to pursue careers in technology. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that a new cohort of teen girls started NICE’s Code:Coda program, giving them an opportunity to be exposed to the world of technology, and to be inspired by our 50+ NICE female mentors. Hundreds of girls have already completed the program, and 60% of these Code:Coda alumni completely changed their minds about technology, and selected computer science as their high school major – an amazing feat considering these girls previously had little to no interest in tech. If the opening activity is anything to go by, our Coda:Coda newbies will also be pursuing tech! It’s clear to see that they loved their first hackathon, and are eagerly awaiting their next Code:Coda meeting!
Meet Mehulmani Tripathi! He began his NICE journey back in 2015 as a Performance Engineer where he owned the entire performance testing process from scratch. After learning many new technologies – like AWS, Big Data, Tableau – in his NICE journey, he decided to pursue a new opportunity in the performance domain, and he’s never looked back! Mehulmani has only grown from strength to strength at NICE, where today he works as Tech Manager, Engineering. He says “It has been an exciting journey for me. I lead the performance and stability efforts, and also enjoy trying my hands on the latest and most advanced stability-related initiatives such as Chaos Engineering, Capacity Management and Performance COE Development etc”. Moreover, Mehulmani is confident about his future at NICE: “The company’s vision to expand in the space of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud and Digital, has opened doors for everyone working here. Together with ownership and support from the management, these career opportunities are exactly what tech professionals are looking for!”
It's official! NICE is an AWESOME place to work!
At NICE we love a good reason to celebrate, and the Presidents Club is no exception. Our top APAC and EMEA Salespeople for the year (44 of them!) were rewarded with an unbelievable, jam-packed, 4-day adventure to Dubai! Our winners were treated like Arabian royalty! From fine dining at the best restaurants and interacting with dolphins to enjoying the colors and smells of the Spice and Gold Souk, and being whisked away to new heights at the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world!), our sales champs had a ball! To end off this trip of a lifetime, our NICErs were treated to a magical farewell dinner in the Arabian desert, together with camel rides and an exciting Falcon show set against a breathtaking sunset! Want to stand the chance to be part of next year’s Presidents Club? Check out our open Sales positions!
October 2022 was Global Diversity Awareness Month! As usual, we put a spotlight on the commonalities and differences that make NICE the diverse and inclusive company that we are super proud of. Around the world, we had lots of fun and insightful activities going on in our NICE offices, all in the spirit of embracing our individualities. Food and culture exchanges, celebrating Diwali globally, a Women in Sales event, unconscious bias workshops, “lunch ‘n learn” sessions such as the Black contribution to LGBTQIA, are just a few ways that NICErs took part in Global Diversity Awareness Month. Diversity and inclusion: It’s not just a NICE-to-have!
Did you know? Early detection of breast cancer increases your chances of recovery to 90%! During the month of October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we held various activities at offices around the globe to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of regular testing for early detection. We brought surgeons to undertake breast examinations in our offices for our NICEr women, as well as holding lectures and panels – all in an effort to ensure good health for NICErs and their families.
NICErs at our Global Talent Center in India marked Diwali – the festival of lights! They celebrated the triumph of good over evil, by getting dressed up in their most colorful traditional clothing and spending time lighting lamps, dancing to festive music, and enjoying delicious Diwali treats together. Wishing a very happy Diwali to all those celebrating! May the lights of a million lamps fill your lives with happiness, prosperity and health.
How much do you love your fellow colleagues? Well, NICErs from our Israel office enjoy each other’s company so much that they even choose to hang out on weekends, together with their families. Savoring the last sunny weekends of the Middle Eastern summer, NICE held 3 amazing day trips to the beautiful Jerusalem mountains, which were enjoyed by over 600 NICErs and their families. From young children to experienced hikers, everyone enjoyed the trek in nature surrounded by gorgeous green views, which ended on a *cool* high with a refreshing dip in the rock pools. What fun it was to see our NICE families spending time together and bringing on such a great vibe. Let’s do it again!
