This year’s NGO Partners Meet 2025 held on August 28 - 29 was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when mission-driven organizations come together with a shared purpose. We had the privilege of engaging with our incredible partners — who are leading inspiring initiatives across education, health, nutrition, and livelihoods. From addressing child malnutrition in rural Rajasthan, to creating pathways for holistic early childhood care, their work is laying the foundation for a more resilient and inclusive future. The sessions focused on: ✅ Grant writing ✅ Building programme effectiveness through participatory programme planning and management ✅ Effective monitoring and evaluation ✅ Strengthening structured reporting ✅ Peer learning ✅ Sharing grassroots innovations We were honoured to have our Co-founder & CEO, Rishi Khosla, interact with the participants — guiding them to learn from each other and to work in collaboration and convergence with one another and all stakeholders. Varun Tuli also shared his insights on how, as an organisation, we can work more effectively with our partners to ensure the betterment of communities and sustainability of programmes. What stood out most was the collaborative spirit — partners openly sharing challenges, solutions, and aspirations. These conversations reaffirmed that partnerships are not just about resources, but about trust, accountability, and a common vision for change.
As part of our CSR commitment, OakNorthers in India came together once again for our annual tree planting activity. Last year, we planted 290 saplings, out of which 258 have survived and continue to grow strong. This year, we planted over 130 new saplings, with the hope that they too will thrive — our way of giving back to the environment, one tree at a time, and building something that lasts far beyond the day itself. From digging in the soil to planting the first roots, the experience was equally rewarding and grounding — a powerful reminder that small, consistent actions can drive long-term impact. Celebrating Unity in Diversity — Happy Independence Day, India! On this day, we at OakNorth India pause to honour the spirit of our nation — a tapestry woven with resilience, innovation, and inclusivity. To make this day even more special, we celebrated in style - From tricolour outfits to shouty buzzer rounds and hilariously creative team names (we see you, Dilwale Desh Le Jayenge), our Independence Day quiz brought out the desi spirit in full technicolour. Huge cheers to everyone who joined in, cheered wildly (even when answers were...inventive), and helped turn our celebration into a joyful, proudly Indian moment. We’ve collaborated with OpenAI to bring even faster, smarter solutions to our customers. Since launching in September 2015, we have used machine learning to deliver bespoke lending solutions to lower mid-market businesses. This new collaboration goes further by embedding generative AI across our entire business to unlock greater speed, personalisation, and efficiency for our customers. Integrated with our existing tech stack, custom-built GPT tools are already enhancing deal structuring, term drafting, and real-time query handling, enabling faster, more accurate decisions throughout the lending lifecycle.
