Our Yugoer's are unstoppable and we couldn't be more proud of their wonderful achievements in our first 12 months since launch. We recognize not all things go according to plan which is why feedback is so important to us . At Yugo, capturing real feedback from our Yugoer's is integral to our growth and success. This week, we have our quarterly pulse engagement survey out which helps provide insight on our culture and business activities. The results are then shared with our global teams to ensure that we are tracking our progress, identifying areas of opportunity and celebrating our wins together.
Marta started in the Yugo family 4 years ago after finishing her degree in Tourism. She commenced as an Intern in one of our residences in Spain, Yugo Lope de Vega residence located in Alcalá de Henares. When the internship concluded and the summer period began, Marta was successful in taking on a full-time role. She began to develop her skills in office management/administration and acquire more knowledge about operations. After 4 years working in the residence, Marta saw an opportunity to grow into a linear role within the People and Culture team. After a successful application process, Marta began working as Yugo's Employee Experience Assistant working remotely. As part of on-boarding for her new role, Marta spent time working in Dubai alongside other People and Culture members. She now supports the delivery of people and culture activities across our global business. We love seeing our Yugoer's grow with us and one the biggest motivators to keep doing what we love.

It's Pride Month : we have a full calendar of activities to promote diversity and create awareness about the LGTBQ+ Community and continue being allies. #YugoPride Competition Week that is celebrated from June 8 to 15. We are encouraging each space to show their support and involvement in #YugoPride. It can be something temporary or something permanent!
Caring for the 🌎 is a core value for all of us at Yugo, and we are proud to share 52 Yuogers have been Carbon Literate certified by The Carbon Literacy Project! All 52 have made personal pledges to reduce their carbon footprint in their daily lives, and the efforts don’t stop there. As an organization, we have pledged to be Carbon Neutral by 2050 and encourage all new Yugoers to also get Carbon Literate certified.
Yugo Adelaide City officially opened its doors on May 2 to students from across the globe. Congrats to the Yugoers onsite for all of their hard work in getting this new space open. We are so proud of you and happy to officially welcome Adelaide City to the Yugo family! Yugo Adelaide City is in a prime location, opposite the universities of South Australia and Adelaide. It is a stone’s throw from public transport and puts students at the heart of Adelaide’s busy commercial and cultural hub.
