Does Booz Allen Hamilton offer dental insurance?

Pros

- Great pay and benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k matching (5%), tuition reimbursement, legal services, child care, corporate discounts, a lot of other resources). - Travel, training, and career advancement opportunities. - Incentives/recognition for high performers. - High degree of accountability. - 100+ year old company with refined and efficient processes. Overall, an excellent company that I was happy to have been a part of.

Cons

- Fairly rigid rank structure with people almost "fearing" a Senior Associate or Principal, let alone a Vice President. I understand chain of command and maintaining respect for superiors, but some managers made it clear they were in a higher class. - Company wide emails, policies and trainings that where driven by politics and/or over-inclusivity. While I am not surprised, it was quite annoying at times.

Advice to Management

Be sure to hire employees at the rank/salary commensurate with their education, experience, location and industry trends. Unfortunately, I witnessed senior hiring managers deter excellent candidates by offering them a less than stellar starting salary, compared to other large defense contracting companies.

Does Booz Allen Hamilton offer a wellness program?

Pros

Good management, like any other place, there still lacks some communication that can be written off as “management was busy”. Education, health and other benefits are good. Good company overall. I’d seek growth elsewhere and consider returning in the future.

Cons

Growth. I got in meeting about 50% the criteria but once in, I was expected to meet 100% of the hiring criteria to move projects, which made it near impossible to get something. Networking works better for this. This is not a good company to seek growth, unless you want to spend 8-10 years in the same seat to build up to the criteria in their job descriptions (and then try your luck). While applying internally, expect to be ghosted, as people won’t get back to you but 2% of the time. I tried sending emails and messaging 10 hiring managers within 2 weeks to look for something and 1 replied and the other booked an interview to then cancel the next day and never reply. Expect to put in free work as you’ll be doing work for your client, and work for the company under the same salary. While this is great exposure, direction is not quite where it could be, so expect to do some work twice or sit around waiting for direction with internal work.

Education, health and other benefits are good.
